I had the tomato basil soup and it was delicious. Additionally I had the Cobb salad and my wife had a chicken sandwich. Both were average. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is outstanding. Good parking near the hospital and Kennick stadium.

Our focus is simple. Deliver outstanding service, quality products, and consistency, along with a great menu selection. Experience the best of both Midwest American cuisine and Iowa craft beers.
Well... I guess I agree with the majority; 4 stars. Hard to go wrong here. Right off I-80 adjacent to a couple of hotels. We went for lunch. Huge portions of solid food. Had sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads between our group. The parents could hardly finish. The 17-year-old loved that he wasn't hungry afterwards. Good choice of food and drink. Very good local beer choices. Waitress was friendly. We had a longish wait for our initial food - but only because there was a party of 16 in front of us - and the waitress apologized for the delay.

I love shorts. It has everything I want. First, it's located right next to campus in the heart of all the action. The tiny store front along Clinton St makes it easy to miss. All you get is a faded burgundy awning with the words Short's Burger & Shine. It's easy to miss. Inside, the place is just as small as the store front indicates. There is a small row of two person tables along the right side and a row of four person booths on the left side. The bar and one single large table can be found in the back. It's tight, cozy and awesome atmosphere. The food was great. We tried several of the burgers. The meat is cooked correctly and has wonderful seasoning. Once you add your style of toppings to make the burger you like, it's soo good. The fries were really well done. Short's also has a reasonable selection of craft beers, which makes me love this place even more.I almost landed on four stars because of the service. In the end, I loved the food and atmosphere too much to ding it for the poor service. It's not a big place, but getting a server is rough going.

Mellow Mushroom has a very electric and fun vibe that is one of a kind. Full view of the skilled pizza bakers tossing the hand tossed pizza. This Iowa store's theme is Iowa Agricultural colliding with 1974 Aliens. Fun for ages 2-92. The BEST BEER Selectio
Itâs rare when you find both a delightful atmosphere and delicious food under the same roof. But at Mellow Mushroom both are in plentiful supply. From the âgroovyâ cow, to the psycadelic, 60âs vibe lighting, one only has to glance around to find something to discuss with ones dining companion. And when it comes to dining. Well, letâs just say, youâre going to have a hard time choosing something to dive into. With three of us choosing different dishes (sharing of course) we all agreed we couldnât decide which we loved the most! The ingredients were obviously fresh, in abundant supply and were assembled as if by an artist, delivered by the most friendly servers in town! This is a âmust goâ when in the Coralville area! Donât miss it! Youâre going to talk about it for days afterwards. I assure you, myself and my companions definitely did!Enjoy!

After discovering the Iowa River Landing we decided to try all of the restaurants, and this is our third one. Decent enough menu, seemed expensive compared to others in immediate area. Everyone has problems getting good help, ours was more interested in visiting with friends, others all had cell phones in pocket and saw them using during shift. Nice to try once.

Had a Bloody Mary & the steak and eggs. Balltip, tender cut cooked medium-rare perfectly. Cozy atmosphere for a rainy morning. The staff is fun and welcoming. Our waitress, Quenisha, was great. Bubbly & friendly, prompt and professional. Definitely a gem of a restaurant!

Visited on Thursday evening the last night for our out of town family. We all enjoyed sitting outside on a very nice evening and listening to the band out on the sidewalk. We had very good service, and fairly quick as they were pretty busy. We had the burgers, yokisoba veggie noodles, and a few had the veggie Mac. All were good and served hot and fresh. This is a great place in Iowa City and we will keep coming back!

A must stop restaurant for people in this area. They offer three types of their tasty crust, various topping, a great sauce, and plenty of cheese. Delicious! Other menu items including pasta, sandwiches, and salads are also good. The staff is friendly and service great.
