As it was a rare warm day, I wanted to take my family somewhere, where we could eat outside. This ticked the box. Service was lovely, friendly & efficient. To be honest, I was expecting standard âpub grubâ, but the food served was above & beyond. The liver & onions was the best Iâve had, the sirloin steak, cooked to perfection & the lamb & chorizo stew was to die for. Creamy mash & proper homemade, double cooked chips. On my returning visit to Cleethorpes, this will most definitely be my place to go to.

Had dinner here while staying on a business trip. As watching what Iâm eating I opted for the chargrilled chicken skewer served with couscous and salad, delicious!! Staff couldnât have been more helpful. Really attentive as I wanted dressings on the side, no problem. Lovely decoration in restaurant and spotlessly clean. Will visit again and would not hesitate to recommend. If you are in Grimsby and looking for somewhere that serves great food, try here ! Thanks

What a great selection of curries- beef, lamb, chicken and veggie. Fish or prawn option would have moved rating to a 5. Onion bhaji add ons were best i have ever had ! Curry menu changes each week. Different range over 'heat'- but vindaloo more madras strength in my opinion. Very reasonably priced and better than a certain national pub chains Thursday curry night !

Have made a few visits to The Barge recently for lunch after not having been for awhile and always had great good in the past. On one visit had the Cheese Burger, which unfortunately I felt was rather bland lacking seasoning and was not as cooked as i would of liked, however the chips where delicious so the meal was overall a success.I returned once again today in order to see if it was simply a bad day previously as I had never been disappointed in the past. And it certainly didn't disappoint this time, I choose to go with the chicken burger for a change which was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, and as mentioned before the chips where to die for.In addition to the great food they have a great selection of drinks some more obscure than you might find in a traditional pub, but some fantastic little finds that got me quite excited. I have no doubt that I will be making another return soon, as the food is a great standard and always well presented.

Moon on the Water is a VEGAN arts and music venue that operates as a not for profit social enterprise. We are located on the beach front in Cleethorpes and have stunning views f the Humber Estuary. We run on mainly volunteers and bring to you a wide varie
My son is vegan and was home from Manchester for the weekend. As I am sure you are aware, there arenât many places to eat locally that serve vegan food so we thought Moon on the Water fitted the bill perfectly. It was also my birthday so we thought we would go for lunch and a few drinks whilst chilling out to a bit of music on a Sunday afternoon. Upon arriving, we were left standing at the bar as it appeared more important for one of the members of staff to try to write âWhatâs Onâ on the blackboard. When we did get served, I requested an Oat milk Latte to be told there was no coffee on due to staffing issues which we thought was pretty strange considering how many different varieties of coffee and milk variations were up on the board. So we ordered cold drinks and I then asked if they were serving food only to be told that the kitchen was under refurbishment and hopefully would be open later in the year. I had been on the website to check opening times etc. and I would have thought that something as integral to a cafe/bar business, as the kitchen being out of action, would have featured quite heavily on the website but there was no mention of it. We finished our drinks and returned our glasses to the bar. There wasnât even a nod of acknowledgement or appreciation and the same member of staff was still attempting to write âWhatâs Onâ on the blackboard. We live out of town and given the appalling weather, we wish we hadnât bothered and will certainly not be bothering in the future

Had another great visit to the Trawlerman, itâs been a while since Iâve been but the service today was second to none and made the visit much more enjoyable and relaxed. We were served by Jo and she couldnât do enough to help us, answered any questions regarding allergies etc and was able to support and reassure us allowing us to enjoy our meal fully. Jo even came and found us later to check that everything was ok and ask if there was anything else she could help with.Food was great. definitely wonât leave it so long next time!Hi, Thank you for finding time to review your recent visit to The Trawlerman. We are delighted that you enjoyed your experience in the restaurant and we really appreciate your feedback. Providing our guests with the best possible food and service is our main aim Kind regards the Trawlerman team.

From the very friendly accommodating staff to the prompt service, this venue provided my wife and I with a superb meal. My wife had the curry and was very impressed and I had probably the best fish and chips with mushy peas I have ever had.

The Counting House is a venue to relax, enjoy a drink, and share some good food with friends. A venue that, despite its fresh appearance, already feels like home.
WonderfulVery impressed. 150 gins to choose from and some unusual cocktails. Wasnât expecting much from the food but it was really really good. Service was great and a we had a fantastic evening. A little noisy for our taste but then again it was a busy Saturday night and we are probably not the normal age bracket (60+) for here but hey you only live once. Again the food was exceptional and well worth the money.Hi HinckleynosherThank you for your recent review, its great to read that you have had a wonderful time with us. All our food if freshly prepared and our skilled chefs have a real passion for good quality food, I have passed your review to them so that they can see they are pleasing our customers. Friday and Saturday nights do get lively perhaps you could pop in and see us in the week as its a completely different atmosphere to the weekends. We hope to see you again soon, Culinary regards Richard

Cellar Bar that serves food, along with Sky TV, 7 Screens to view all the sports and Pool Tables for your enjoyment.
Went for a Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Not the smartest bar in town but great location on sea front. Staff helpful and friendly. Efficient too. The Sunday lunch is really good and beef, lamb , pork and chicken available on two different sizes. Also possible to mix meats and have 2 different kinds. Lots of fresh veg and great roast potatoes. Great quality. Great value.
