Had the most delicious food here recently - all two starters and four main meals were truly superb - so pleased and will definitely return. Must mention the waitress as she was so friendly and professional- a real credit to the restaurant .

We serve American style food, a bit of Tex Mex style. And a Full British Roast on a Sunday.
Had to bear up against very loud (possibly modern rap?) music aimed at teenagers blaring at us, in addition to obnoxious out of control children running around the premises when all we wanted to do was relax after a long walk across the Gorge. Best avoided if youâre looking for a nice spot for a quiet drink. Other reviewers mentioned a good range of beer. If so, these beers were not on tap during our visit. No ale hand-pumps, if thatâs your kind of thing. One positive point was the drinks werenât as extortionately priced as some neighbouring pubsâ.Thank you so much for taking your time to write your review, first of all I am sorry that you did not enjoy your time with us.I have scrutinised the CCTV for the whole of this week and liased with staff members regarding your complaints and can find no evidence of the above issues stated.I have also reread all of the trip advisor reports regarding good range of beer, we have 7 different products on tap, 4 different bottled ales, plus 7 bottled beers ciders etc. We do not have hand pulls as it does not sell, as we are not an ale pub. Hopefully you enjoyed your time in Cheddar and our beautiful surrounding areas.

Old fashioned coaching inn dating from 1480, with the expected smattering of traditional beams, fireplaces, and traditional accoutrements. The Lamb is the focal point of the town, situated in the heart of the square, and opposite the famous King Johnâs Hu
Had a cheese board, a Sunday roast and a pint. Very busy but the food came quickly and was delicious. Very good selection of great beers too. Lovely welcoming service in a beautiful location. Absolutely stuffed!

Welcome to The Kings Head, the oldest pub in Cheddar. A charming partly thatched 17th century inn tucked away on a quiet street within walking distance to the gorge and Cheddar village. The Kings Head is a traditional English drinking pub, with a small se
This is a lovely traditional village pub, with two rooms either side of a bar, and a function room (which was in use for a wedding reception the day we visited). There is a car park at the back. The landlady is lovely, very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of people in the pub early evening, which shows how popular it is. Note that they don't do food, only drinks (plus crisps, of course). The cider is Thatchers, unfortunately I didn't note down what the beers were.Thank you Heather for your lovely review, we really appreciate your feedback. We look forward to you visiting again if your in the area.Val

The Crown Inn offers a range of ales, wines, lagers and spirits, complimented by our locally sourced home cooked menu. Bed and breakfast is also available in newly built rooms above the pub.
Iâve eaten here regularly over the last few months. The middle east / asian style menu is amazingly tasty & very good value. Highlights are the regularly changing currys ( paneer & butterbean makhani.... mmmm) lamb shish, aubergine pahi & Lebanese hallumi balls. Good vege selection.

Family friendly pub serving good quality home made food all day, large garden, dogs welcome, cask mark beers, featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the past 5 years.
We are on holiday. The owner of our cottage recommended this place.Very very good. I can't fault this place. All the staff are really good....polite and efficient. They are obviously well trained. We had the mackerel pate, beef, prawn and chorizo cassaulett and lemon brioche bread and butter pudding. All excellent. It has a very good menu. Good value for money.Thank you to the staff and chef.

Visited before a hike around the gorge. Great location, nicely decorated interior, friendly staff and tasty food.Chilli squid was yummy but could have been a little crispier. Onion rings were the crispiest Iâve ever had!Would definitely come back if I was in the area again.

We open most days from 12 & the classic barn menu is always available to nourish a faithful Barner & newcomer alike, on some days we offer more but aim to never offer less... We close the kitchen door depending on the weather, cider consumption and the ph
My husband waited at the bar for ten minutes, finding other people served in front of him. I'm sure it's great if you can get served.
