Things to do in Centralia
While itâs not fine dining, for what is is no one in Chehalis does it better. Sandwiches and burgers were done extremely nicely. Sweet potato fries were yummy. They actually do onion rings well, so many places donât. They have a great specials concept each Tuesday with a different country spotlighted. Well worth a visit. The Cilantro Sunrise is worth the visit, just by itself. In a town of pretty average food (Applebeeâs is in the top 10 for godâs sake) this place is outstanding pub food. The decor is comfy and the service outstanding.

There is nothing better than sitting on the deck on a nice day at this restaurant. The view is spectacular and the golf course is pristine. The food however, is very inconsistent and you never know what you're going to get. It can be good and it can be bad. A good chef would make this place a gem

Food came out in 5 mins which means it wasn't freshly cooked. Chicken had the texture of rubber. Quality definitely went downhill since I was last at an Applebee's. Wouldn't go back.

Nice location in old town Chehalis. Cozy old time bar feel except for the lighting. Had one of the best Bratwurst dinners Iâve ever had. Bartender knows his way around a martini too. Made perfect. Only problem is the lighting over the bar. The ambiance is totally ruined with operating-room bright LED bulbs of a color temperature only found in a Dollar store. Seriously spend the $20 or so and make this place cozy.
The food wasn't fancy but it was very tasty and reasonable in price.Has it's own parking lot.It is a Bar and Grill so you can get a drink with your meal. The have an area sectioned off for families with children until 9pm.

I discovered this place online actually so we tried it today after church. Very nice atmosphere and the food was outstanding! I tried the BBQ brisket sandwich, a June special, which came with homemade chips. The sandwich had onion rings which literally melted in my mouth! Hubby had Prime Rib dip sandwich and fries, which he made very short work of!

After a disappointment last in centralia I figured on this place thinking beer and pizza is a staple and shouldn't disappoint. Pros- a fun themed restaurant in quaint old downtown. Nice atmosphere. Cons- pretty much everything else. Against my better judgement I ordered this tropical fruit wine. If you find yourself wondering what that tastes like, have someone else order it and try theirs. Finding it non-drinkable I tried to find a straight up beer to go with the za...no luck. A nice selection of funky flavors...and Budweiser. To the za...I ordered the Maui wowie. A underdone crust scattered with toppings that with a little more attention could have been tasty. Instead...it was flat flatbread aspiring To be called pizza. To add to that the price point was gourmet level for average offerings. Bottom line- if you are looking for funky...fine. If you want good eats...don't bet on it.
Where to eat American food in Centralia: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Without a doubt, the Olympic club in Centralia is one of the best placed to visit in the city if not the whole of Lewis County. We have eaten here numerous times for breakfast, lunch and dinner with breakfast here on a cold day being my most favorite time. This is due to the massive and historical wood stove that sits in the middle of the eating area. The club has an esteemed history and much of the original workings such and the fans and lights are still in original and working condition. There is so much to do here besides just eat. There is an an accompanying hotel, theater and bar that has a very heavy event schedule which is worth checking out. The Olympic club is less of a place to eat and more of a social center for relaxation, conversation and merriment. Next to the dining area is large pool hall which has always seems to have quite a few people in it regardless of what time of the day it is. Now on to some food comments. Our first visit was a breakfast meal and I had the Oysters Benedict. This dish was without a doubt one of the best Benedict's I have ever had. I may have had a better one but I couldn't describe when. My wife went with her old standby: the Biscuits and Gravy. Her comment was likewise concerning her meal and that should not be taken lightly as her test for good Biscuits and Gravy has extremely high standards. Our other visits during lunches and dinners where equally exceptional. For an appetizer I would highly recommend the Cajun Tots. They are delectable. For mains at lunch time I have had both the Elk Burger and the Grilled Pub Steak. Both are very good but I would say that the Elk Burger is my preferred choice. For dinner time there are often times themed platters such a BBQ or Sausages and from my experience I would say that so far, there is no bad choice here. For drinks the club has quite the selection of draft craft beers and signature cocktails. I always go with one of their signature porters or stouts and have never been disappointed. My wife always goes with a signature cocktail and she very rarely drinks so again this is a huge statement. The Olympic club can get a bit pricey especially if one starts putting a few drinks on the bill but without a doubt it is more than worth it. The staff here is always super friendly and expert in the quickness and attentiveness. The Olympic Club in Centralia is a must stop if in the area. See you on the trail and please try to remember to treat with dignity and respect, all whom with you come in contact.John F
