Reviews on Bar food in Cartagena, Bolivar Department, Colombia. Cartagena, a gorgeous fishing village on Colombia's Caribbean coast, has excellent beaches, a historic old town (that's entirely walkable) and beautiful colonial architecture. It's also one of the safest places in the country, so it's no wonder it's a popular port of call for cruise ships. Need a break from exploring the cobblestone streets? Stop at an outdoor cafe for excellent pastries and people-watching.

We arrived in Cartagena late afternoon and walked to the Walled City from the Bocagrande neighborhood. This pub is located off the Plaza de Los Coches, directly near The Clock Tower. The exterior is inviting, and the "pub" name drew us in. Surprisingly, there were four large screen televisions, and the Boston Red Sox were playing on one screen and the Bruins on another. A bit of the U.S.!The place is larger than it looks with two floors and a wonderful outdoor patio. We settled into a seat near the door and ordered drinks and a plate of nachos. We tried nachos in two other restaurants in Cartagena, and these were by far the best. Our waitress was a delight as she tried to understand our order. My wife's Sangria was terrific, and Colombian draft beer was nice and cold. Perfect place for a quick respite!

We stopped in for lunch, after Jesus approached us. We had excellent Mojitoâs. My wife had a vegetable salad to start. It was good. She also had the vegetable rice for the main...delicioso! I had fried calamari to start, which was good and the shrimp rice for the main. It was really good. The restaurant was cool and quiet with local music playing. Jesus answered all of our questions and was really cool to talk to. Make sure and check this place out. We will definitely come back, when we visit again.

Having a taste of perfectly crafted cocktails is fascinating. It's that: tasting. Mixology is not only about mixing different kinds of spirits, it's an art. EL BARON - Cafe & Liquor Bar located at Plaza de San Pedro Claver in Cartagena is a place charmed
Super culture with lots of character, el Baron captures the details right down to the menu - which is a fold out map format listing many of their innovative cocktails. This place is next level mixology, with interesting ingredients and classic techniques. We sit outside to watch the crowds (as the place borders the square) and we order a Domador de Elefantes (gin based with cardamon) and a gin basil smash. Both are great, however the basil is intense and plentiful, so be warned it is almost too much.

If Cartagena were a cocktail it would be a brightly-coloured concoction, a perfect blend of eternal summer breezes, romantic history, music, stunning views and friendly faces.Re-creating this magical mix isn't as easy as it looks but Malagana Cafe & Bar h
We shared an order of beer-battered fish tacos with pickled onion and purple slaw on the roof at Malagana Café. They were delicious but should have consisted of three instead of two for the money. The steep stairs are not for the meek and the view is not great..

Nice place, quiet atmosphere food with a fast food style but taking care of the representative flavors of Mexico.
This is a great little Mexican place. Good food, friendly service, cold beer - and all at a reasonable price. The tacos are fantastic. Highly recommend the fish taco and their newer combination taco (beef and shrimp). The meat is tender and the combination of vegetables / sauces is quite innovative (ie not just the standard lettuce / tomato / salsa)...Bottom line: This place delivers, and I would go back. Highly recommend.

El Coro offers a hip atmosphere, chic decor and an innovative class of fancy drinks with live music on weekends. Its Ceviche beats that of famed establishments in Cartagena & hamburger sliders are tasty. Drinks are not inexpensive but worth the total experience.

The Best Bistro in Cartagena. No frills, good atmosphere, good food!!! Our traditional dishes inspired from the international and French cuisine with a Caribbean touch, are 100% homemade, with fresh products and most of all, with lots of love!
There may a point in your visit to Cartagena that you grow tired of the claims of âinnovativeâ or strange combinations of fusion food. Youâll admire the pretty renderings on the dessert plate, be delighted at the colors and textures of your entree seconds before you post it to Facebook but deep in your culinary heart youâll wonder whether anyone really knows how to cook in Cartagena..Here they do know how to cook and a very good job they make of it at unreasonably low prices. The service is good and friendly and if you make a booking theyâll be happily waiting for you. Youâll have a good time, be pleasantly fed, but not stuffed and you will be happy with life. Youâll roll that Salmon Tartare around in your mouth trying to identify that flavor on the back, the one that completes it and makes it a wonderful choice. This is cooking. This is a real restaurant.Whatâs not to like? Perhaps the wine list. It has several choices at a reasonable price but none is likely to set the heart racing. The food here would easily justify a rather nice bottle of wine. Before our next visit I must ask if they allow, for a corkage fee, you to bring your own wine. But whatever donât miss out on this place. There are only so many tasting menus the palate can take. Come here and enjoy what makes food so wonderful, great (and often simple old school) cooking.Wow! I am speechless and honored! Thanks so much in the name of the all team of Montmartre. Everyone was moved by your words! It is such a motivation for us to keep working and improving everyday.I totally agree with you as far as the wine list is concerned. Wine prices can get a little crazy here in Colombia (mostly when you compare with France for example...) and well I use to have more expensive wine for a while but most people want an average good wine at a reasonable price. Of course we do have a corkage fee if you want to bring your own bottle. But for your next visit you will be my guest on that part!Thank you again and cheers from all the team.

Itâs a good Cuban restaurant, the food is good, the servers are nice. We ordered a Cuban Sandwich and it was average, I had better ones before. We also ordered the fried fish and it was delicious. We also ordered the sweet fried Plantains, very good. The âcafé americanoâ was perfect, like elsewhere in Colombia. Itâs worth a visit. Dear Sr@, RodrigopiriWe appreciate your comments immensely. It is a pleasure to read these words and to know with us you lived an experience in a Cuban style, it is a great pride to be part of your visit to the beautiful city of Cartagena. We will share your comments with the team, which we are sure it will make them feel very happy and motivated. We hope you visit us again soon to have the pleasure of sharing with you once again our Cuban corner in the magical Cartagena.Cordially
