Looked like an interesting place to have lunch, but that was it. The service was so slow, no one seemed interested in waiting on tables. Menu is limited with a few selections and then just listed sandwiches and toasties. I asked what kind of sandwiches and was told ham and cheese. Everyone else ordered fish and chips and I ordered the ham and cheese. After almost a half hour the food comes. Greasy fish and chips and the sandwich which consisted of 1 piece of ham and 1 piece of cheese on 2 pieces of white bread. On the plate were 3, just 3 Pringles. It was a disgrace for $7.99 Euros. We were on a time schedule and had no time to complain. Others from our tour came in and either left or had the same treatment. We had to track down the server for the check. Worst experience we had on our 13 day trip to Ireland, in fact, worst food ever!!!!

Recently visited the Barge Inn in Leitrim Village. I ordererd the chicken fillet burger thinking it was a fillet in a bun. It was in fact chicken coated in breadcrumbs in a bun. Although it was quite nice I found I was unable to finish it as it was very filling. All in all the service was very good and my daughter enjoyed her pasta dish also.

Called in last Sunday to checkout the caravan and camping for the coming year and decided to have dinner in Bernies. We were not disappointed. The kids really enjoyed their sausage and mash and the adults who had a range of meals came away full and also enjoyed the meal. We are looking forward to putting our caravan on the site and enjoying the great food and welcoming staff in Bernies.

Dropped in on a Saturday night, really nice place, cool layout, interior and a nice crowd compared to other places in the town over run by stags and hens, this place seemed to attract more locals then anything which was great. Nice smoking area / beer garden too. Bit of live music made for a good night. Definitely one of the better, classier places for a drink in Carrick. Hi David,Always a pleasure, never a chore! Be sure to call in again very soon! The Barrelstore Team

We had a fab lunch in Carrick-on-Shannon last week. We got a lovely window seat where we could observe all that was going on outside and over on the River Shannon. We all chose the chicken curry. I have to say it was delicious. Service was fast and curtious, we had lots to choose from but our choice was really delicious and very reasonably priced. I would recommend a visit. I will definely return again.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this week. The decor was nice and the staff were really friendly and polite. We ordered the speciality burger, the nachos and the kids had Spaghetti Bolognais. The kids enjoyed the Bolognaise but the other food was just OK. My advice to the chef would be to keep it simple. The meat in the burger itself was good but there was just too much else going on. A good burger brings our the taste of the burger not smothers it. The nachos again were too busy. Serve the nachos with the toppings on the side not heaped on top. On the plus side the table opposite ordered steaks which looked really good. Next time I will go for the steak!!!

Hotel Restaurant
We have eaten in this hotel for years and find the food great ,but we called in there on thursday and picked a table by the window for two, we were approached by a lady who said it was reserved and would you pick a different one which we did. The lady who served us could do with some lessons in customer relations we found her very unfriendly, not like the usual people we meet there.
