Djalma Forjaz street in Campos do Jordão has a typical European atmosphere with its restaurants with tables under large umbrellas right on the sidewalk. Those restaurants are usually fully packed of people in high season and weekends. A good alternative to street tables is the Mercearia Campos that features sitting on a huge balcony from where it is possible to watch the street even better than being on it. Food is very good and service fairly acceptable. Price are at mid range for a holiday place like Campos do Jordan. Sometimes they set the music volume too loud. If this ever happens to you, just ask the waiter to set it lower.

My friend and I went to Safari Rest and Café because there was a band playing there that it was awesome! Also, people seemed to e enjoying their food. The service was also very friendly.Iâm not sure about the rest of the menu, but the meat fondue was simple awful. Almost inedible. The worst I ever had. Maybe itâs not their specialty. I would go back there again if the same band was there playing, but I would definitely eat something else.

The music starts earlier than most places and we really enjoyed it. The service sucks. So enjoy the music and if you have lots if time and are not too hungry or thirsty, go for it.

Fui ao local para conhecer a cerveja local ( cervejaria campos do Jordão). O ambiente é jovem... descolado e acolhedor. Mas os preços são salgadinhos. Fomos para degustação do chopp e ficamos só nisso, a régua com as 8 opções das torneiras custa quase $50,00.

Went there after reading good reviews in Trip Advisor. The ambience and decor are very nice. Also there was a nice band playing. The food, however (had samosas or what they call "pastel") was terrible!!!! Greasy and with a weird taste. Just horrible!!! My husband felt sick afterwards. Also we spent only about 30min there and we were charged 20 reais "extra" for the band but you only know about this "extra" when the bill comes. There isn't anything written in the menu and they don't say anything about that when you sit down. Be careful!! I don't recommend it.

Had a short stop in the town and decided to eat at Baden Baden. The food is good, nothing special. I had grilled trout, which was good but not something to remember. The prices are a bit high for Brasil, I would say. Paid around 75r plus 10% service charge. Nobody speaks english there, so if you donât speak their language, have your Google Translate ready. We had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment you get in until you leave they deliver a first class service. I took the easy way and ordered the chef's suggestion menu; my fiancée made her own choices and -needless to say - it was a true delight for both of us. The sommelier was kind and patient suggesting a wine to accompany the courses fitting our budget. The dishes arrived quickly, and the service was flawless. It was not crowded, so we could pick up a nice table by the windows which also allowed us to listen to the well played piano in the next room. Perfect for a special occasion, in my opinion.

Regular food, really not that tasty, for a really expensive price. They will charge BRL 20.00 just for you to seat. After that, you will get just enough not to complain. Campos do Jordão is a collective catarse, for you to feel like you are not in Brazil for a while. Thumbs down.
