Great simple meals at this pub which has a friendly almost family to it. Staff manager Mark and bar tender Chris are friendly, helpful and obliging. The chef will attend to your special needs (GF, for example), and provides a menu with daily specials that are affordable, tasty and in the main, healthy eating. The wine by the glass is excellent.

This Restaurant is assocciated with the Wilyama Motel/Hotel - it has been operating for many years and is a significant dining experience in our City. (it has one Google Review)
We were only in town for the night and wanted to check out a couple of eateries for a future visit. We stayed over the road so it was very convenient. I was very peckish when we arrived so ordered a serve of garlic bread. A bread roll, perfect for two, arrived and it was as good a garlic bread roll as we've had. We both ordered beef and reef RARE. Both meals were generous and well presented however as is often the case the steak was closer to medium when it arrived and by the time I was half way through verged on dry and well done. This is always tricky and I am often tempted order 'Blue' in order to get rare. Tasty with decent sized prawns but a little disappointed. The raspberry nut sundae was certainly not needed but was excellent and rounded off our meal and our tummies nicely.

Working in Broken Hill and a visit from my Daughter and 2 little Grandaughters saw us here. First of all the Big outside garden was great for the kids to run off energy, while we enjoyed our drinks. Then back inside for $20.00 Snitty and drink special (wed/sun). Free soup while waiting and then the best schnitzel we have had in years, hot and crunchy on the outside but tender in the middle, enormous serves, proper pub grub. Staff were friendly as were locals who all rushed to help with the pram and hold doors etc... Defo a return is in orderThank you BobbieMC for your fantastic review, we are very happy you enjoyed your time at our Hotel with your family, It sounds like you got the full experience. Our locals are a very big part of this business as they also ensure everyone who comes here has a friendly welcome, a chat and a great time, exactly how Australian pubs should be.It was a pleasure serving you and we look forward to seeing yourself and your family again very soon.

Great place for the lunch special. Good service, cold drinks and nice quick meal from a choice of four or five. Seemed to be popular with locals & pensioners. Found out the history of the club a little later, which as a trade unionist pleased me no end.

Here for the Broken Heel festival as part of a tour group. We preordered meals, though this made little difference as they were all served at different times, the risotto was served after most of the group had finished eating. It was not worth the wait, despite only eating 2 mouthfuls and requesting feedback be provided to the manager, no follow-up was done. Main meal plates were not cleared prior to serving dessert, what a shambles!
