After visiting Bolzano and need a quick lunch before leaving? This is the place. It is outside the historical town and next to the highway. And it is at the gas station. Very busy with locals but service was quick and food was plentiful and great. 3 stars because you are starting at the gas station. But food will be good. We had the salad, pasta and gulasch. All for less than 20. Check out the picture.
I've eaten here many times, been neither disappointed, not excited. Perfectly good for what it is. I'm sure I'll be back. No complaints at all.Grazie Familie Tschimben

We arrived in Bolzano after a long travel day longing for a good lunch. We found Star amidst the crowded market on a Tuesday afternoon. The server was welcoming and very attentive. Drinks are reasonable and served promptly. I had a liter of draft beer by the time we finished, and my wife had a couple of full- pour glasses of wine. The burgers are excellent, with full, rich, just-ground beef taste and served on great buns. The real "stars" here, however, are the wonderful fresh-cut potato and sweet potato fries. We are American, so we know good fries; these are among the best we've ever tasted. Finished both generous portions. Look for this place among the market stalls. You will congratulate yourself on a great find.

Home from Home You will hear this more than once by the locals and not-so-locals who call Temple Bar their home. A small yet big hearted corner in the centre of Bolzano, run by two Dubliners and their crew, who serve their customers more than just a pint,

This is a huge restaurant/ bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Some staff are not very welcoming and itâs difficult to get their attention. I ordered the burger and it was OK. Large selection of beers but staff too busy to tell customers about them. All right for a quick visit but there are better places in Bolzano.

After being in Italy for a over a week and sampling all that yummy pasta....it's good to have a change. We loved the authenticity of this Bavarian style restaurant. Fischbanke is by far the nicest terrace in Bolzano. The operator is a friendly older gentleman with a pipe. Various wines by the glass and delicious tapas. The terrace is a colourful collection of self-painted signs with spells, lanterns and umbrellas! We wanted to eat somewhere, but stayed on this cozy terrace ... Are you in Bolzano, then really along Fischbanke and just linger!
