The King's Head at Letheringsett near Holt offers a homely mix of original features and modern-day comfort in its bar, restaurant and guest rooms. It is surrounded by beautiful parkland just a stone's throw from Holt and other lovely Norfolk towns. Our 4
As children in the 1960s we had summer holidays with our cousins in Letheringsett. Apparently this pub was going then - it's a few hundred years old - but we were too young to visit. We're old enough now, and were in plenty of time for the service at Northrepps, but it was a bit early for booze. So we had coffee, read the breakfast menu, and watched Japan miraculously beat Ireland in the Rugby Union World Cup. Should've had a fiver on them. Still wondering why they tell guests to wear shoes outdoors! Thank you for your very kind review, glad you were able got watch a Rugby match whilst enjoying the ambience of our lovely pub. Shoes outdoors is a summer request for 'kids' who play in the garden. We look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

Wet, cold and miserable day on the North Norfolk coast was vastly improved by a visit here to sample the afternoon tea. Sandwiches and lovely sausage rolls provided the savery element, some grapes and a plentiful supply of 5 different cakes. We also enjoyed a glass of proseco as well as ,as much tea as you wanted. We were unable to manage it all at the time so brought some home to enjoy later. We were taking advantage of a Groupon offer so exceptionally good value. Having praised the food it was though the warmth of the welcome and attention (even asking us what music we would like playing) we received from Rachel that made this such a lovely afternoon. Thanks Rachel.

Went to this pub for three nights in a row. Food was good as was the service and we were served by a very friendly woman on all three occasions. Food a little pricey and the drinks were quite expensive but maybe that's because I live in the North. Worth a visit though and in lovely surroundings quite near to the church.

We really enjoyed our visit for Lunch. The seafood was superb - really good indeed. The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. Lovely table by the log burner. Prompt service. Nothing to fault. Packed out so clearly popular. Definitely recommend and hopefully will eat again here in the future.

We visited for a late Sunday lunch on the Bank Holiday weekend before driving to nearby Marston Quay for a seal trip. We did not book ahead but were shown a table in the bar area where we selected a lamb casserole, a vegetable lasagne and two substantial sandwich selections. The restaurant/hotel overlooks the quay/salt marsh at Blakeney and also has attractive gardens. The style is a bit old fashioned but this gives it some charm. The food was good.

We have visited The Anchor on many occasions. Each time our reception is friendly, helpful and the service is efficient. Pleasant surroundings and a good atmosphere. The food is well presented and we all enjoyed our different choices. Good range of drinks on offer. The Anchor generally has an outdoor dining/drinking area and is in a lovely situation between Blakeney and Morston Quay. Very well worth a visit.

The White Horse is popular pub situated near the bottom of the High Street, which makes it a convenient place for locals and tourists alike. We ate here twice during our stay and found the staff friendly and efficient on both occasions. Our first visit was on a busy Sunday evening, but that had no detrimental effect on the service we received. Despite the pub and restaurant being very busy, the atmosphere felt relaxed, with a pleasant buzz about the place. We had Sea Bass with samphire and crushed new potatoes and the Camembert and mushroom burger. Both dishes we well presented and very tasty, although the sea Bass fillet could have been a little bigger. On our second visit was had cassoulet and the lamb shoulder, both dishes lived up to our expectations and were very enjoyable. We look forward to returning to the White Horse next time we visit Blakeney.Thank you for taking the time to review The White Horse,We are delighted to hear such lovely comments regarding the menu. We shall be sure to pass them onto our kitchen staff. We do hope to see you again soon,Kind RegardsThe White Horse Management Team

A venerable 250 year old Georgian Norfolk inn and B&B just yards from Blakeney Quay, enduringly popular with locals and visitors alike. We hope to be welcoming you, your family and friends alike . . . very soon. We'd described us as a 'classic pub' . . .
A good, old-fashioned, traditional pub with history. Mine host greeted us with a warm welcome and he, and the rest of the staff, were very friendly and helpful. There was a good choice on the menu. My wife is Gluten Free and her die did not cause any problems whatsoever. The food was delicious and the portion size enormous, so you need a good appetite. An added bonus is that the establishment is dog friendly. If you are in Blakeney, then this is the place to eat.
