My girlfriend and I had heard about the fish and shrimp fry here and wanted to try it. We came into a very pleasant clean cheery place. We were seated in a nice booth. Our waitress got our sodas quickly and took our order. We each ordered the âAll you can eat fish and shrimpâ. They started our order with 5 small shrimp and one piece of fish. So we chatted and enjoyed our diner. The food was very good. But wasnât much to start with. We were done in just a few mins. So hereâs where things got bad. We finished our initial fish and shrimp and asked for more shrimp and a refill on soda. Our waitress didnât say one thing. Just gave us a smug look and left. Almost 10-15 mins later she came back and threw us each a plate with three shrimp on it. I immediately ordered more because we were not done eating yet and I didnât want to experience that long wait again with no food on our plates. Our waitress just looked disgusted that we would even ask her to get more. Again she said nothing and came back again in 10-15 mins with 3 shrimp. We never did get âall we could eatâ we just got tired of the bad service and left. Our waitress was a very young blonde girl and we sat in the first booth closest to the door in the middle. She was very rude. I never got so much as a word out of her the whole time we were there. I will never go back.

We went (group of 12). I enjoyed my food (mushroom swiss burger). Our service was pretty good. My only complaint was it seemed that everything my aunt ordered they were out of. I would suggest the kitchen communicating with staff a bit better so the order doesn't have to be changed over and over.
The Biwabik Pub is just you normal Iron Range bar. Large selection and great staff. Within the same building is Poor Gary's Pizza and Subs so you can order food from them while tipping back a beer. They also have burgers and other sandwiches. Prices are reasonable. Nice place to kick back and watch hockey or a ball game. They also host cards (smear) every Thursday night.

We ordered the prime rib special (which was very good) and chicken nachos. The chicken nachos consisted of mostly chips and lettuce, with little cheese and other ingredients, but since they were half off during a happy hour special, we didn't mind. The drinks were reasonably priced. The food was prepared quickly and our waitress was very nice. The restaurant is cozy and has big windows for looking out at the ski hills. Old and interesting pictures are hung on the walls of the restaurant and hallways.

Most importantly besides the view and variety, the price is right. We ate out on the patio over looking the lake. Definitely would eat here again.

We have wanted to stop here for years, and were not disappointed! Our pizza and salad were terrific, along with nice decor, possible outside dining and very friendly service. As mentioned in other reviews you order and pay for your food at a window, but drinks are delivered and paid for separately--no problem! It did seem management could be a little improved: bathrooms need work, lights burned out, some of the led's were bluish in color(which does not improve Italian ambiance) and even the giant chair outside needed touchup painting......nevertheless great pizza and a family tradition continues on the east range--Bravo :)

We've eaten here a quite a few times since their opening in 2016. It was always on the great side of the palate - up until the last couple of visits - more so within the last 4 months. Mostly, the quality seems.. off. The clincher was the melted processed cheese on the (cold) loaded nachos, along with the tasteless / dry cuban panini. Hoping the noticeable food authenticity returns.Thank you for taking some time to tell us of your experience at the Burnt Onion. Consistency is what we hear you saying. We work toward consistency but did not hit that mark with you on this trip. We will work to do better. With your input we are actively discussing and focusing on consistency again. Please come back and give us another try and let us know. We appreciate your business and want your next vist to be great. Thank you,Jim HuntF&B Director218.865.8060

Were up to Virginia for a bike trip and stopped at The Sawmill for lunch. Ordered bacon,Mac and cheese, JDBurger, salads and club sandwiches. Food was great, but we waited for over an hour. Unexceptionable!! The waitress was training a gal to be a waitress, and I would suggest that they do this on a week day!!
