I understand that they host a lot of live music in the Monks Walk, but relatively early doors on a Saturday evening the atmosphere was pleasingly quiet. This is an attractive, traditional pub serving good real ales as well as the expected range of other drinks.Itâs a really nice pub with a friendly atmosphere and good service.

Traditional English public house with home cooked meals with karaoke every Friday and carvery every Saturday and Sunday
Beverley is without doubt a beautiful market town full of lovely pubs, bars and restaurants sadly the Queens Head isnât one of them. Service at the bar was utterly miserable and Iâd be surprised if the sour faced barmaid has raised a smile from anyone and in her 30 something years. Sadly sheâs certainly chosen the wrong career and the sooner she finds her true ovation in life the better......one suggestion would be chief mourner. Prices were pretty shocking and more akin to the bar of an upmarket hotel as oppose to the high street run down pub that the Queens Head most certainly is. As you can see she didnât dampen our spirits

Myself and my partner had our tea this evening. Disappointed after a recommendation. The chips were saturated in fat and tasted of burnt oil. The meat pie pastry was soggy. The steak had so many thick knotty veins in it, it wasnât eatable. All in all we wonât be visiting again.Hello Kersh, please accept my apologies if you feel your food wasnât up to our usual high standard. Really wish youâd made a complaint at the time as we would have happily exchanged your meal for you as we endeavour to make every customer experience a good one. Many thanks for your review and of course we will take your comments on board.

The Rose & Crown Bar Kitchen with Benedict Porter is a stunning old building with a new concept. Our brand new open pass allows Ben and his team to showcase their cooking whilst creating the best tasting dishes with the best quality products. Everything i
We had a wonderful meal this evening - the staff, service and atmosphere were just superb. Food absolutely wonderful! The new owner went out of his way to ensure we had a very relaxed and enjoyable evening. Chateaubriand - one of the best we have ever had, and from start to finish we were impressed. We wish the new management team all the best, Rose and Crown hasnât got its mojo back with some TLC from a new owner who is clearly very experienced and committed to making this place sing again. Would recommend a visit, we will certainly be visiting again soon.

A combined Sports Bar and Smokehouse serving the very best smoked dishes and showing all the live sport on a 4m x 2m LED screen.
Visited for a meal and a few drinks whilst staying in the area for a couple of days. Itâs a welcoming and clean place, with lovely staff and a great selection of drinks. The menu is typical of a chain bar/restaurant: burgers, nachos, chicken etc., which we knew it would be, and prices are in line with others in the area. The loaded burrito wasnât served to our taste initially but the staff, particularly Stephan and Liv, were very helpful and the meal was quickly replaced with a more acceptable one. Good place for a quick âre-fuelâ and a few drinks.Hi 131J_A, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Firepit. I am also happy to hear that both Stephan and Liv were so helpful. I will be sure to pass on your comments to them. We hope to see you again soon. Thanks,Management

Beverley's newest gastro pub serving homemade food with a large selection of lagers, ales, cocktails and wine. Live music through out the week and all the live sport plus much more!
We were here for a week with work staying in a near by hotel. Small but good choice and good food. Best of all they were doing 2 for 1 deals differed each night. On our final night I had the steak! Very nice and cooked as I like it. The staff were very friendly and we felt welcomed each time we were in. I dont drink nut my mates did and they assured me this had s hood selection and good prices. Our ethos here is simple. Weâre all about being excellent in everything we do; from the food and drinks we serve to the home-from-home space weâve created
We just wanted a simple sandwich or jacket potato lunch and a drink, but the menu was just a little too gastropub for us. Fine if you want a sharing plate, a pizza or a main course, fine, but we didnât. So we settled for a drink and found our meal somewhere else. The interior is typically retro/modern, in keeping with the menu. Perfectly nice place to eat, but our mistake for thinking it was a pub!Hi NicholasThank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry that you didn't find anything you fancied for lunch when you visited. We do have our 'Main menu' with everything and more that you mentioned on it, also running along side it we have our 'Light Bites menu' served between 12pm and 5pm I'm sorry if you didn't see this menu when you visited. We don't have Jacket potatoes on there but there is everything from soup to sandwiches and a selection of main meals as well.We really hope to see you soon.Kind regards The King's Head Team

We came in on bank holiday Monday with friends on the 26th and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the steak and ale pie was delicious. However the service was what made us rate the dog and duck so highly, the two young men both serving the food were both polite and charming and made us feel welcome. Will be visiting again!

Woolpack inn Beverley, serving home cooked food. Serving hours are: Tuesday 5.00 to 8.00pm. Wednesday to Saturday 12.00pm-2.30pm & 5.00pm-8.00pm Sundayâs Serving Sunday Lunches and Steak pie & Special pies 12.00pm-6.00pm (last orders 5.30pm)
Booked for Sunday lunch after a few visits under previous ownerships. Not sure if Iâm honest if the price has gone up or not but at £11 for a roast beef lunch vs the quality it seemed expensive. Beef wasnât what I would have expected but adequate.Drinks at nearly three pounds for a pint of coke and 4.50 for a fruity cider were dear enough although large red good value at £5.50.Beverley is an expensive place and wool pack has caught up it seems.Lovely pub though, always has been, but will give it some time to get better I think. The young lad waiting on was very attentive. Thanks for your review. We kept the same prices on drink and food as the former owner as we only took over in July. I would love to be able to lower prices of certain products but we are a fully tied pub even down to cordials and the margins are as low as they can be. So the only way to make the prices better is if we wasnât charged so much for them so I do apologise for that. We could make some of the menu cheaper if we bought cheaper food but we buy the best quality food we can sourced locally we strongly believe in using local produce from local suppliers even if itâs a bit more expensive to buy if we can. Kind Regards Jane

A hidden gem in the centre of Beverley, serving genuine home made food and a selection of Cask Marque accredited real ales and real cider.Just 5 minutes walk from the historic Beverley Minster, the pub has it's own car park & beer gardens at the rear.
Visited this pub as it had received good reviews and an extensive gluten free menu. Although the dog friendly area was fully booked they were very accommodating and explained we could sit in the bar area. Staff made us feel very welcome and immediately brought water and biscuits for my dog.The service was excellent and very efficient and the manager was very happy to assist with any questions we had regarding the menu. The food service was very quick and did not disappoint at all, good portion size, piping hot and delicious. On a separate note this pub has a very good gluten free menu, tried the pie of the day and was really nice.Would recommend this pub for a nice drink and would definitely eat here again.
