Reviews on Bar food in Bergen, Western Norway, Norway. The colorful Norwegian city of Bergen is also a gateway to majestic fjords. Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf will give you a sense of the local culture – take some time to snap photos of the Hanseatic commercial buildings, which look like scenery from a movie set. Don’t breathe too deeply when you visit the outdoor fish market, a reminder of the city’s role in early fish trade. Ferry across a fjord to Lysøen, where the former villa of 19th-century composer Ole Bull will captivate you with fairytale charm.

We make American-style BBQ in our smoker. Brisket, short ribs, St.Louis ribs etc. We also make some mean burgers and hot wings and a real crunchy fish'n'chips from fresh cod. A large selection of craft beer and around 80 kinds of gin available from our ad
Food is ok, but not great. Little bit dry meat. Nothing wrong, but bottom line here is that it is simply very overpriced for what You get. There are so many other places with better food and prices in Bergen. The Gin bar is a nice touch, but the same problem is also here. If I want to spend this kind of money on drinks I'd go to one of the more upscale hotellbars like Norge or Børs.

This rock burger cafe comes highly recommended by the locals and itâs easy to see why. Great atmosphere and amazing burgers, even if you opt for the low carb, bunless version.Thank you very much for the nice feedback. It's always good to be recommended by the locals

Brian Boru is Norway's only Irish-owned, Irish pub! You'll find this authentic Irish pub in the heart of Bergen, close by to the famous Fishmarket. Come by for hot food, a great selection of beer on tap, live music, live sports and as we would say in Irel
On my last day at Bergen, I came across this pub while looking for a place to grab a beer in central Bergen. After finally finding a pub named after me (nevermind that they spelled Bryan with an "i"... I still like to think that my name is written on the front door!), I knew I had to go in. And I'm glad I did!The atmosphere is that of an authentic Irish Pub: austere-but-cozy wood furniture lavishly decorated with Irish-related items. There were coats-of-arms hanging on the walls, flags, and even some rugby decoration. A large TV screen broadcasts the best sports matches going on â which, on the lazy July evening that I visited, happened to be darts. The friendly atmosphere was further enhanced by the great bartender Niamh. She does a great job of keeping the place friendly and welcoming. She knows how to encourage conversations between strangers who are looking for a nice chat. I tried a few of the local craft beers before ending the night on Guinness and I must say that everything Niamh recommended was great. The prices are also pretty good â or as good as possible considering how expensive Norway is...Sadly, I haven't had the chance to try the food, but if I ever come back to Bergen this will be top of my list.Bryan can hardly recommend Brian enough!

A rock cafe with the most interesting choice of hamburgers in town - the Hangover Burger, the Triple Decker, Dr. Feelgood, the Hobo burger and Norway's biggest burger, the Suicide Solution tickin' in at 1,8 kg (3,97 pounds). Burgers with attitude! Welcome
We are in Bergen for the first time and were hoping to catch some live music but we are on a tour and have an early wake up call tomorrow. So instead we just decided to have burgers for dinner. Thereâs definitely some interesting combinations here. We both ordered the smallest hamburger they sell and it was plenty big. My husband ordered the special burger of the month which was a spicy teriyaki burger. I ordered the cheeseburger. The burgers are interesting as they have cucumbers on them vs the American way with pickles. The potato wedges are outstanding! We love onion rings so we ordered a side of those as well. Those were good too. So no music but a good dinner with a beer hit the spot!Thank you for the visit at Inside Fløien Rock cafe :-)

Stopped in after a long train ride from Oslo and checking in to our Airbnb nearby. Simple menu with very good food, and a great selection of beer. Bartender was helpful and friendly, and there's a neat story to the odd-shaped building. Easy walking distance from the Bryggen, but in a quiet local neighborhood.

26 North Restaurant & Social Club is a casual and contemporary dining experience which focuses on 4 core elements, Nordic, Organic, Timeless and being Social. We work hard to ensure only the best quality ingredients from the Fjords, Farms and Forests of N
We dined here tonight as a table of four, sharing mains and drinks and it came to barely 1600 NOK which we thought good value. A couple of diners had reindeer which they found decent enough. I, myself, went for a burger as I wasnât very hungry and figured they couldnât really mess this one up. The burger itself was okay, and fries decent. The âaoiliâ was very watery to call itself aioli. For the price, though, the food is okay. Location is good - right at the end of the famous Bryggen buildings. One small point: I was surprised to see them selling âBlue Nunâ wine (80 NOK a glass). In the UK this German wine is considered very low class and something of the beverage of choice for alcohols due to its low cost per unit alcohol content. A whole bottle of this wine in the UK would be something like 50-60 NOK. So a little odd to see it in a restaurant setting like this and for such a price. The restaurant itself was comfortable and table setting nice - I particularly liked the Villeroy & Boch plates.

The name "Naboen" means neighbor, and this is just what the Naboen Pub & Restaurant is, a friendly and inviting place to eat and drink. Hospitality is job one here, and the Scandinavian kitchen, staff and culinary tradition are representative of Norway. T
Naboen is a wonderful contemporary Norwegian restaurant. Itâs a little off the tourist path, so it feels a little more authentic and catering to locals than some central Bergen restaurants. But itâs still just a short walk from Ole Bull Plass and Torgallmenningen. Prices were reasonable by Bergen standards and the food was excellent. Particularly good at our table were the moose and the monkfish. Both were expertly prepared and delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Very happy we chose to eat here!

Madam Felle is an informal Restaurant/Diner, Bar & Concert Venue. We are open for lunch, dinner & bar service. Several nights a week we feature concerts with local, national & international artists. Our specials are home made premium Hamburgers & slow coo
This is a nice little spot centrally located along the water. We only wanted sandwiches..... I got the shrimp, hubby (surprisingly) got the BLT. Both were pretty big and were delicious. They did not have unsweetened ice tea, but our waiter mixed up a really good drink that is his favorite. It was hot and we ate inside. Place was busy, waiters running. Prices a bit high but I guess they are in general. (Roughly $35 for 2 sandwiches.) Excellent , friendly service.

In Norway it's surprisingly a challenge to get some decent local food, which makes this place Pingvinen such a great value. Definitely the best plukkfisk in Norway, awesome local beers and ciders, fish pies and nice desserts, all served in a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.Book in advance as this is a small bar and quite busy during the seasons.
