The Union Inn is a friendly village pub dating back to the 19th Century. It is situated in the picturesque and historic village of Tremadog, gateway to the Snowdonia National Park and the Llyn Peninsula. We are a freehold, family run pub, focussing on exc
Having looked in Porthmadog for food and not finding anything suitable or open we stumbled across the Union Inn, and what a treat. Service was quick and friendly and the food was fantastic with a very generous portion. We will be back before we leave for home.

Have visited many times over the past two years and always find the hospitality and food to be of a very high standard. The food is wonderfully prepared and presented using fresh local ingredients. There is a well stocked bar and the the owners are friend
Just turned up at 155pm for food. We didn't know they stop serving at 2pm. We had just climbed snowdon and were a bit hungry! The bar person was rude and despite having just taken an order from a lady , flatly refused to even ask the chef if we could have some chips. Last time we go there.

Cwellyn Arms is a family run traditional Country Inn and Restaurant with varied accommodation at the foot of Mount Snowdon Snowdonia National Park All our food is prepared from fresh ingredients on the premises and we take time and care in sourcing qualit
I have been going to the cwellyn arms for 6 years,it is where me and my partner had our 1st proper date so is a special place to us,food has always been amazing but today it was awful, the burger was dry and tasteless, the chips had no taste at all,the garlic bread was solid and the roast was nit the best, when we where asked was food ok I should have spoken out but didnt,I feel really bad writing this review as the place means so much to me and my partner but we won't be coming back Thank you for your review.I wish to apologise that you found our food was not up to our usual standard and also that you feel a bit upset. It is a shame that you did not tell us at the time. The main reason for the server checking on the food is to give us the opportunity to correct anyproblems with your order.I will be checking with our Head Chef to find out what went wrong.I do hope that you will give us another chance.

Beautiful pub in a stunning setting, nestled in the village of Beddgelert, deep in Snowdonia. Unfortunately that's where the good things ended.Greeted reluctantly by the woman behind the bar, maybe the manager or landlady. My partner and I are from South and Mid Wales respectively. We ordered coffee, in English by the way, and as soon as she heard our accents her attitude became even more unfortunate. I'm not sure of her country of origin."We don't do coffee", ...prolonged pause ....was her unhelpful answer. We asked for some shandy which appeared to be some Herculean task for her and took an inordinate amount of time as she was chatting out back during the preparation. We felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable there, so ordering food was out of the question. We drank up in double quick time and left, not before returning the empties to the bar, which provoked no response except turning her back to me. If you're Welsh, and you sound it, don't bother visiting here, because we won't again. This woman probably will claim that she can't remember our visit, and she probably won't, but we certainly will for all the wrong reasons, and judging by some of the other comments here, so do many others!Thank you for your review, we have messaged you to ask for the date and time of your visit. We would very much like to deal with the member of staff in question as this was clearly an unacceptable way to be treated. Our sincerest apologies,The Prince Llewelyn Team

I ordered the specialist Burger from the menu; this included a home made beef burger, along with a chicken fillet, bacon slice, mature cheddar, onion rings and an excellent salad. There was also a portion of golden thick cut chips and a rich dark barbecue dipping sauce. The burger was contained in a nice brioche bun and served with a wooden skewer. The service was excellent, and the food was accompanied by a lovely pint of local Big Bog real ale.Overall, an excellent experience.Well doneDr Chris Davies

The Saracens Head pub-restaurant is situated by Afon (River) Colwyn in the heart of Beddgelert, close to the Mountains of Snowdon & Hebog. We welcome Muddy Boots, Dogs & Children and have menus to provide for all. We serve freshly prepared traditional pub
We stayed here bank holiday weekend and into the next week for four days and took our dog they were very very friendly we only had one meal and that was good ,obviously very busy at the bank holiday weekend but found most staff to be very helpful and attentive The rooms were clean and looked like they were recently renovated Probably one of the most popular venues of a weekend and there are a few to choose in Beddgelert. It is located in the centre of Beddgelert A very small village with numerous eateries also a train stop that would take you to Carmarthen with beautiful views along the way cost is £41 per adult return and takes approximately one hour 20 minutes There are plenty of walks from the saracens head and approximately 4 1/2 km to the start of Snowdonia Certainly worth a visit and we would return .

A very popular place for drinking and eating. There are lots of cask beers etc to choose from and also a number of different types of whiskey including Welsh whiskey to try out. The food menu is extensive, but I would recommend the local lamb and leek pie, it is very nice.
