Jessop's proudly specializes in Belgian Beers. We carry over 300 bottles and 21 drafts.
You never can tell about a historic restaurant. Some rely on the historic draw to get diners in the door and fall short on the food quality, but my wife and I were surprised how good the food was. We started with the wild mushroom flatbread. Their version of wild mushrooms is vastly different than mine. These were merely white mushrooms but were pretty good with the garlic oil and bread. My wife ordered the shepherds pie and boy were we glad we didn't order any other entrees. The pie was huge and delicious. The gravy was poured over a mound of rich beef and lots of mashed potatoes. The gravy tasted like the real-deal homemade overnight stock type of gravy. We couldn't quite finish the whole thing and still have room for dessert. Our waitress Shannon was friendly and efficient. Parking was free and easy, though I bet somedays it could be hard to find a parking spot nearby. The only thing we didn't like was they bring water to the table without asking if we wanted plastic straws. It would be nice to at least ask first since 500,000,000 straws thrown away each day in the US is way too much! We'd definitely like to give it another try in the fall.

Read the history of Ted's Montana Grill on their website and they will mention Ted Turner as the co-founder of TMG. Is it THE Ted Turner? Just something to think about. And of course, celebrities have opened countless restaurants and establishments (Kenny Rogers Roasters, Tim Horton's, etc.) and they can be hit or miss. So my wife and I had the afternoon free of kids, so we tried out Ted's. I thought it better to try it without the kids because steakhouse bills can add up and the kids may end up eating very little of what we order. In fact, Ted's does have a very reasonably priced kid's menu ($6-$14) with everything from chicken fingers to miniature steaks. They also give complimentary pickles. The server was honest and said some people love them and some people hate them. We're Korean and it tasted like Korean pickles, so we asked for more! As for the steak, my wife ordered a salad with steak on top. I ordered the NY strip. I asked for it between medium rare and medium. It came out in between medium and medium well. We were on a tight schedule (needed to make it to a movie), so I didn't send it back. The taste was excellent (I added bacon garlic butter) and the kale salad and fries/onion rings side were a nice complement to the steak. We ordered in house made lemonade (and the provide free refills). The total bill was around $50, which was pretty reasonable.Thank you for the great review, David! We pride ourselves on serving great food paired with genuine hospitality and I am pleased to hear we delivered. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

I ordered the shrimp and mahi with lemongrass sauce. In addition to the sauteed shrimp and mahi, the entree included shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, snap peas, edamame and bell peppers with a coconut lemongrass sauce served over rice. It was excellent! My wife had the jerk chicken pasta. Asparagus, mushrooms and sliced chicken were cooked in a Parmesan cream sauce served over bow tie pasta. It was very good.We recommend this place as a nice relaxing stop on your next trip to or from the Delaware beaches.

We have been going to Thurston's for years. The food is decent and the drink prices are very reasonable. They fix a good drink for the price and the bartenders are all great. They have Karaoke on Tuesdays and Trivia on Sundays. Sometimes they have special parties and a DJ. The place is small though and is in need of some major repairs. Especially in the back seating area.

Located just minutes off I-95 and several are hotels, Shellhammer's is a warm comfortable place to enjoy lunch, brunch or dinner. Happy Hour is always jumping with awesome everyday specials.
On the good side, the service was prompt and food was quite good. I particularly liked my roast beef. My wife, an oenophile, didnât have high expectations, but she ordered a second glass of their house red, something she rarely does in this sort of establishment. While I recognize it is a sports bar (even though there are only six TVs), the noise level was very high, coming not from fans but from patrons whose favorite means of communications seemed to be a yell.

Our party of four stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were two couples, one of whom had been here several times before as they are somewhat local. We had a very brief wait, then were seated. The atmosphere is typically pub style and they do brew on site. Our waitress was quick with the menus which were on a clip board and the specials were prominent. As it is very close to St. Patrick's Day, they were offering Irish specialties and brews in addition to their regular menu. We ordered our beverages; a round of beer, coke, water, and a Sazerac cocktail. I had the Sazerac. It was quite good. At $8.00, it wasn't badly priced either. Our server took our dinner selections; Winter Squash Bisque, 3 orders of the Smoked Brisket Special, Onion Rings, and Bangers and Mash. The Bangers were part of the specialty menu for St. Paddy's Day. There were no complimentary bread or chips to snack while we waited or any salad course with dinner. Everything was a la carte. One person ordered the soup starter as they had had it before, knew what to expect and said it was delicious. Dinner arrived promptly. Everyone tucked in. My 2 bangers were nicely cooked, served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a beefy onion gravy and a helping of cooked carrots. The plate was decorated with a rosemary sprig and a pretty purple orchid. I enjoyed it immensely. My husband and our friends had well portioned sandwiches and fries and extra order of onion rings. No one had room for dessert or coffee. Our waitress was efficient and pleasant. The food was good. I just wish we lived closer.Thank you for your kind words. We're pleased that you had an enjoyable evening with us and hope we see you again next time you're in the area!
