We as a family of seven have recently had a Sunday meal here. Starters were fine, however the main measl were not good at all. Obviously not cooked by a chef, or if they were, he or she have no pride otherwise the meals would not have been served. Will not come here again. Very dissapointing. The manager / owner needs to pay attention to the food being served. The girls serving tables were great and deserved the tip......not the cook.

We visited this pub/restaurant today for a drink before ordering a meal; sitting at our table having a drink in the main bar getting ready to order food when another customer standing six feet away starts smoking an E-cigarette with the smell wafting all over us.I complained to the bar staff about this customers behaviour and I was told it was acceptable to use E-cigarettes inside The Three Oaks Pub.We finished our drinks and left.If there was signage stating that E-cigarettes were allowed inside the bar we could have made a choice to risk our health or not in this pub.

The White Hart is a privately owned family-run free house pub, offering a beautifully presented menu of locally sourced and selected dishes. Our classic pub menu is backed up with a daily specials board offering further seasonal choices. We hope diners th
I really enjoyed the food here as did most of the family although mother in law reported her sirloin to be tough. Generous portions and I particularly enjoyed the whitebait; daughter loved her ribs. Regret not having the pie of the day as it looked fantastic. A great option for lunch or dinner in the vicinity.

Came here after discovering the Senlac hotel had no beer and not much food. Menu a bit up market for us (We're more 'pie & chips' people) but discovered that all main meals are half price on Tuesdays - result. Had salmon nicoise and Cod & chips, both meals excellent. Also a nice pint of Harveys sussex ale on. Well pleased.

Well I am disgusted by the way myself and my husband have just been treated by a male member of staff today He was so rude!!!!!We had been out for the day for our 29th wedding anniversary and thought we would drop in to the pub for a drink, and if possible a bit of lunch.? We were asked if weâd booked my husband said we hadnât but any chance of a table. We were told no chance they were fully booked.OK we thought we will have a drink anyway. We had our dog with us(dog friendly pub??) We were told we would be in the way as they were busy and we would only be allowed a drink outside in the garden !! The attitude and manner in which we were spoken too was completely unacceptable. Needless to say we left and went to another more hospitable establishment. Donât think we would consider The Squirrel Inn ever again.

I have eaten here before and thought I would take a client here for lunch. Walked in only 9 people in the pub asked for a table got a stern "Have you booked?" not a good start. They finally offered us a table and literally left us. After about 10 mins I got up to get a drink and was told they come to us - No they didn't. Basically we just sat there feeling awkward . There were 3 of them behind the bar so not short staffed. Decided other establishments deserved our custom more than this so we left. Can highly recommend the Queens head at Hawkhurst had a delicious meal there with a warm welcome.Hi Hubbjay,Apologies for not responding sooner, but I needed to ask my staff who were on when you arrived, if they remembered you, and they did.We have to ask people if they have booked for two reasons, one we don't want to give them a table allocated to someone else, and two if you have booked we can cross you out of our diary and show you to your reserved table, I just don't believe you were spoken to sternly, why would we?You also may not have realised that although there were only a few other tables occupied, you did all come it at the same time, so obviously we deal with each table in turn, and my staff were not standing around behind the bar, they were managing orders from the tables that were there before you, so I'm not sure a 10 minute wait is correct, but things can get distorted after the event.I will agree with you on the fact the Queens Inn in Hawkhurst is worth recommending though, assuming that is where you meant.Kindest regards,James
