Every time we have visited, we are not let down. The food is always first class and the service is always good with more than attentive staff on hand for any queries. Even down to making sure the dog has a bowl of water.Good wine list and the menu has always something new. As a family we have eaten many times at the gpt, and the roast dinner is amazing. We booked for midday as we were a table of 12..and we were not disappointed!! Portion size, brilliant. Staff were amazing and very friendly. My wife loved the gravy that much that she bought some and is now in the freezer awaiting our next roast at home. The burgers are delicious as well.Highly recommended.

This is a quirky, friendly, interesting pub that is well worth a visit. There are several small rooms and when we visited we soon struck up a conversation with a local who was friendly and helpful.Well recommended.

Iâve heard great reviews from friends and family which were so right. Burger night was incredible and walked out with a grin on my face! £22 with tip! Will be back for Sunday roast that I was told starts on 1st October. New favourite place! Well done peeps.

I've just come in with a couple of kids who were mid-tantrum. Despite this, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They even helped to calm my kids down. We waited a long time for our order and when it arrived the wrap was burnt. The waitress said she had "mentioned it to the chef" - any chef would not have served burnt food. £2 taken off the bill for one drink.Hello Julie, We are sorry to hear you had such an unpleasant experience with us. We at to book late as Bath Rugby were home where the fans do a lot of pre-match drinking. So we booked for a 3pm lunch which was excellent and good beer with excellent service fro landlord and his staff. Also rugby was live on the TV screens so saved a £40 match fee!

visited yesterday after booking on opentable. out of bath centre but very small so better to book. The burgers were quarter pounders with 2 in the larger ones. all cooked fresh. Had farmhouse and 12 monkeys. both excellent. Fries also really good. Not cheap but well worth it with decent beer selections Good midweek deals too on website.
