Was visiting Keswick for the day and was looking for somewhere to eat for lunch that was dog friendly. Came across this place. We ordered eggs florentine and pulled pork burger with fries it was absolutely delicious. Decided to have dessert key lime pie and sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Lady serving was polite and friendly. Would definitely return if in the area.

We arrived today from Yorkshire staying at the castle inn hotel. No complaints! We went through the hotel to the resteraunt to the bar past empty tables, we were told in the afternoon it may be busy. We went to the bar and was ignored for several minutes, eventually when we asked for a table for two was told to just go find somewhere and was spoken over when I asked for a drink. We sat and waited 15 minutes, nobody came to see us and staff just blanked us! I went to the bar to order and once again was told to sit and wait.A young man came and took the order, he explained he forgot his notepad so would try and remember drinks and 2 courses. However he failed to do so as the order was incorrect when it came. The starter and main tasted fantastic, however lasagne is supposed to come with pasta and not layers of cheese! We were unhappy with the staff however the food was reasonable so ordered desert. I ordered vanilla cheese cake. When it arrived it was on a dirty plate, it was defrosted, rubbery and tasted of just cheese! It came with some rubbery rhubarb on top that I was unable to chew through! I will keep that as a pencil eraser. The staff served a customer to our side, explained to them they had run out of chicken, fish and blamed it on the time! Overall not impressed. When we complained we were told it's because of a new chef!

Please note that we do not take bookings.
We were visiting Keswick for the day and decided to try the food here. The weather was rather wet, so we were glad to go somewhere cosy and inviting. The food was amazing, we tried the pizza and tapas menus. All the food was cooked well and really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We were impressed that the chef cooked all the food in a small area behind the bar and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive either. There was a bookshelf that had stories and colouring books/stickers to keep our three year old entertained too. Overall, a fantastic dinner and we hope to be back again soon. Thanks again. Thanks Jonny for such a nice review :) Weâre so glad you found cozy comfort in our small cafe bar.....It even amazes me sometimes what they do in that kitchen (if you can call it that ) They really do send out some stunning dishes! & itâs just what you need on a wet & windy day in the lakes.....beer, board games & good food! Really hope youâll be visiting us again soon :) Many thanks,Genna

My wife, daughter and i thought we' d try this tapas bar, tucked away in a Keswick sidestreet. With its quirky, funky interior and Mexican- style decor, it was right up my street. The food was tapas style and was delicious ( lovely enchiladas) whilst my wife had the glutenfree nachos, olives and goats cheese stuffed sweet tomatoes. My daughter enjoyed her wedges and onion rings, she even dared to try a green chili!Staff were friendly and chatty and provided good customer service. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience and one which i think we will repeat on our return to Keswick.

We booked a table for our first night staying at Keswick Reach Lodges and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was fairly busy but our order was taken quickly. The food and drinks menu were extensive and there was lots of choice. We had a Cumberland sausage which came with lovely mashed potato and a tasty gravy. The lamb hotpot was really good and it came with a warm crusty bread roll. All of our food was well cooked and extra care was taken in the presentation. We enjoyed the food so much that we have booked a table for our last evening.Service was very good and the food was great value for money. We would recommend this place to eat and we will definitely return again Thank you for the feedback about your time at Copper Fells. The front of house staff always pride themselves on their customer service and enjoy hearing that guests have had a lovely evening making them want to return. The head chef always appreciates feedback on his menu on both the taste and variety of his menu, I will pass over your comments.Kindest Regards,Copper Fells Team.

A small quiet country pub offering B&B, a fine selection of real ales, lagers, ciders, wines. & spirits, home cooked traditional English food with a twist.
Large menu to cover all tastes. Was really hard to make a decision as everything sounded delicious. Eventually we chose the Seafood platter and the trio of Lamb. Both exceptional plates of food. Well presented, fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. Loved it. Friendly staff and they allow dogs.

A warm welcome to humans and dogs, great taps, stunning food and beautiful views! We aim to serve classic pub food with a twist that changes with the seasons, all food is made fresh and served to you in relaxing surroundings with great music to accompany.
We enjoyed a delicious evening meal here and spoilt ourselves with three courses. Falafels and potato skins to start, both generous portions so make sure you go hungry if youâre having three courses! We both had burgers which were great, served in a charcoal bun; Iâve never had that before, it looked really interesting. Finally we had pear & chocolate Eton mess which was amazing. Loved every mouthful. Fantastic service from the owner who takes care to speak to each table, really friendly.

We were staying nearby and decided to visit for dinner. The specials board looked nice and we enjoyed some home made potato crisps while we browsed the menu. To start we had the bread board with olives, butter & the most amazing home-made hummus and Brie bites with tomato chutney. For mains we had haddock, ribeye steak and cheeseburger all served with triple cooked chips. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked and portions were large so we struggled to finish our meals completely!!! No room to sample deserts sadly! The staff were polite and attentive and there was an extensive wine list with a bottle of chilled water served at the table. A really lovely night and would highly recommend a visit here!! The locals in the bar enjoyed real ale and whisky which looked good also!!!Thank you Julia for such a lovely review and we're delighted you enjoyed your evening with us. Please do come back again soon and perhaps you might even stay with us next time!
