We called in for a drink and a bite to eat...unfortunately our food was just awful...considering it wasn't busy I don't think the chefs were under pressure, mine was so bad I left it..bacon and brie salad full of leaves , no dressing , undercooked fatty bacon, weird small cubes of brie about six pieces...no flavour at all, ......my partners sandwich was so poor , dry, without mayo or other sauce , a bit of 'salad on plate no dressing either , he ate it as he doesn't like complaining! Disgrace!

Visited here tonight. We were coming from Newcastle and were passing through. We had never heard of it and spotted it but couldnât get stopped we went on and turned and came back. We were greeted by a lovely girl called Lin from Thailand and taken through to restaurant. It is just beautiful. Our waitress was a girl from Newcastle England and she was extremely helpful as was the man. Didnât get their names. We ordered food and I can only say it was truly amazing. We couldnât fault anything. You really must try this place. We will do our best to go back although we live quite far from it. Thanks again to all of you. Lorraine & John

Rather slow service for early lunch function. Think there were only two waitresses.Pleasant enough staff, but they had difficulty coping with 29 in a party, though did so eventually. Some of the sandwiches decidedly odd, I unable to identify the filling - looked like roast beef, but seemed to be some sort of pickle/paste. Tea and coffee were okay.

We had a large business lunch here... the service was excellent despite the restaurant being very busy. Our food was served promptly and although we each had different meals, all were brought roughly at the same time and piping hot, very generous portions and totally delicious! After the main course we were all pretty full, but decided to go for the huge puddings... I would highly recommend the chocolate brownies 10 out of TEN!

Offered a discount off dinner as part of our stay at the Larchfield Estate - 10%.We were a group of 7 birding friends, 3 visiting from Preston, England. The craic was great, the food tremendous, catering well for a gluten-free member, & the service superb. The wine menu was good, with plenty of options; we had a wonderful Portuguese red.Overall everyone was thrilled with the venue, the food & the service. Nothing more to add, but weâre looking forward to dining here again.

Taken to the Gilmore restaurant for dinner on my birthday, we had a secluded table in a friendly atmosphere. The service was efficient and extremely attentive. We had an excellent meal. I can recommend the prawn cocktail starter; actually I can recommend everything about the meal! The outside lighting is very attractive too, best appreciated at night.
