This restaurant was within walking distance to a hotel we were staying at. The hotel was not good ( see review for Extended Stay America) but the restaurant was. They have outside seating where we sat and had a drink with our dog. Later on we came back and had dinner. My fried chicken salad was excellent as was the brownie dessert we shared. My husband loved the bread that came with the salad. I would come back to the restaurant , but skip the hotel.

We enjoyed our first dinner here so much, we returned a couple of nights later for another meal. The burgers are huge and wonderful! The large helping of fries are excellent, as well. We tried the pulled pork burger, the chili burger, the Stinky burger, the tri-tip sandwich, wings, and fish and chips. The chili was outstanding. The fish was good, but fell apart easily when dipping in the tartar sauce. Just get any kind of burger! This is a gastro-pub with a mix of drinkers and diners. They have a selection of kid's meals on the menu. The TVs are tuned to different sports channels with closed captioning and soft music playing in the background. This made for a relatively quiet dining experience on a Saturday night. Our second visit was on a week night and more people were drinking after work, making for a noisier environment, but not unpleasant. You pick up a menu at the bar and place your order there and it is delivered to your table.

While I donât usually review chain restaurants, this is a small chain typically with only one restaurant in a town. We enjoy it here, though sometimes we get frustrated with the menu changes because our favorites have been dropped on a couple of occasions. But there always seems to be another tasty option that steps up to fill the void. On this visit I had the Jalapeño Egg Burger for the first time. It was delicious, with the meat patty prepared exactly as I wanted (medium rare). The side serving of coleslaw was excellent, some of the best Iâve ever had. My wife ordered the Fig Burger, lettuce wrapped, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her side order of sweet potato fries with their light honey and cinnamon glaze were yummy. Service was very good and the ambiance, though a bit noisy, was just fine.

Love the wide range of beers available. Unlike the "trendy" brew houses on the coast frequented by hipsters pretending to like beer, this place actually has great beer at really good prices.The food, for a pub, is actually very good. They also have a good range of choices for appetizers to snack on if you are not in the mood for a full meal.The only thing I think can be improved upon is the TV situation. The TVs are very small and have the volume muted, even during big games. Also, there will be NFL playoff games happening, and they tend to have soccer games or some other unpopular sport on instead. Overall, a great place to kick back and enjoy a good drink with friends.

Ever time we stay at the associated RV resort we have at least one meal here. Itâs a large part of why we stay at the park. On our Tuesday night visit, I had their meatloaf dinner special. It was as good as I remembered it being - especially the green beans. My wife, who has all kinds of food allergies it turns out, had the teriyaki kabobs. Both rated a solid 10. Do wish they still had Stella on tap, but . . .

Tahoe Joe's is an awesome little chain restaurant. In my opinion, they are the best steakhouse in Bakersfield. Most of the times that we have been here, the wait is at least 30 minutes except for this past weekend when there was no wait at all and there were plenty of tables available. When I saw how empty the place was, I thought ...oh oh...is there food no good anymore.Fortunately, the food is still good. My wife and I like to start the meal with the Railroad Camp Shrimp appetizer. It comes with about 10 pieces of tempura battered shrimp that is mixed with wontons and peanuts and a garlic soy sauce. It is a nice crispy mixture of shrimp goodness. The jackpot nachos with steak or chicken is pretty good too. I've even ordered only the nachos for an entree because they give a generous amount of nachos for this appetizer.For the entree choices, the steaks are all good and tasty. They are not "melt in your mouth" delicious, but they are above average. The ribeye would be my recommendation. I think that all the steaks come with green beans. The baked potato with everything on it is terrific. I am already full after eating just the baked potato, appetizers, and salad or soup. There is always leftover steak to take home and enjoy the next day.If you have room for dessert, then order the cheesecake!! It is totally delicious!!

I have dined here solo while on business 4-5 times. The food is consistently delicious. I've had the ribs, ahi, salads...you name it. Everything is delicious and the service is good. Nice happy hour pricing. My only complaint is the music is far too loud.

Tuesday night is jazz night at Temblor and the professional musicians are first class. The beer that they brew is excellent. We just had appetizers but they were delicious, especially the artichoke hearts. We spent an enjoyable evening with friends, listening to music and drinking beer.

We decided to test the food and service. Great selection of beers and some nice cocktails which I did not try. Icy cold IPA suds featuring many choices. For food, we did one âbuild a burgerâ and one black and blue burger. Service a tad slow but not too bad. Great tasty food!! Nice ambiance, attentive staff. Reasonable prices. I would definitely return.

I go here a lot with both of my ladies luncheons, but today's steak was exceptionally tender and delicious. It is always good; I get the $9.99 teriyaki sirloin. But today was so delicious I had to tell everyone. I could cut it with my fork. the customer service was bad, but the chef was right on! you HAVE to buy a beverage (coffee or tea for $3.25) YIKES. It does drive the bill up, but again this compared to expensive steaks I've had elsewhere. Why the high price on a beverage?? Robbery!. I'd give this a 5 for the meat, but had to lower the rating due to the terrible price for a beverage that they MAKE you buy to use the coupon..Your visits are truly valued, and it's nice to hear that you always have good food and received an exceptionally great steak at your recent visit! However, we're saddened you didn't have a five-star experience. Your feedback regarding beverages is appreciated, and we will be sure to share it with our leadership team.
