Delicious supper, incredibly warm and welcoming staff and a very comfortable room. Delightful. We all arrived at different times but were able to gather around a table that was ours for the whole evening. Well prepared dishes arrived freshly prepared and we were able to eat in a very relaxed way. Good wine and beer.

Over the past two to three months my wife and I have visited The Ketch on many occasions for Sunday roast dinners and also evening meals. On each occasion we have received excellent home-cooked food accompanied by well kept drinks in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is often tasteful music playing softly in the background, a far cry from the usual brain numbing cacophony that assaults the ears in so many pubs and eating places. The hosts and staff are invariably courteous and do their best to accommodate diners' needs and preferences. On our most recent visit for Sunday lunch (Bank Holiday Sunday) we pre-booked for midday. Although The Ketch became very busy our food was up to the usual high standard, the wine excellent, the Black Forest Trifle magnificent. At no time did we feel rushed. Some people may find the brief menu on offer too brief. As far as my wife and I are concerned what they do is offer a fair choice of very good food. We will be back very soon.

Lovely proper pub with good service and great food. We had a lovely seafood platter with calamari, mackerel, prawns and smoked salmon in generous portions and a shake special. This was followed by a lovely lemon ice cream gateau with strawberries and cream. Great pint of pedigree and lovely viognier chardonnay.

My family spent Thursday and Friday night at the pub. The room was immaculate and well decorated and felt cozy and welcoming. The kids loved the two tiered family room. The play area at the back was well equipped and plenty to keep the little ones busy after the evening meal. The food was incredible and the portion size was amazing value. The breakfast choice was great as were the staff especially Chloe. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
