We stayed at ABC during our sailing charter and had a chance to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant. We enjoyed each meal! The breakfast menu had many choices - I enjoyed the french toast. Keep in mind that this is an island in the caribbean so expecting freshly squeezed orange juice is not reasonable We ate lunch at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the staff. Dinner was a romantic setting with candles and a quiet hum of other guests. The lobster was the best that I had during the whole trip (ate lobster at 5 other restaurants) and my husband loved his mahi. The only downside to this restaurant is when large parties come from the anchorage, drink too much, and assume other people don't mind their obnoxiously loud conversations. Lucky for me, the group from Vegas only briefly talked about brazilian bikini waxes. This is a problem with lots of places in Anegada so I'm not going to ding ABC for it...Thanks for visiting and for the nice review! Unfortunately, we cannot control the conversations had by any of our guests... I expect that can be a problem any place in the world, and not just our remote island. We hope to see you again on your next trip!

We rode scooters here from where we anchored in Anegada Bay. Food was fantastic and fresh!!!! The painkillers and piña coladas were some of the best we had!!! The beach is beautiful and bathrooms/restaurant are clean. The staff work extremely hard!!! Stop by the gift shop for some fair priced clothing!!

Big Bamboo

Seaside Cottages, Restaurant, and Beach Bar in Loblolly, Anegada

Our group of 10 (on a one week sailing charter) spent the day at Anegada and after snorkeling in Loblolly Bay, decided Big Bamboo was in order for lunch. We’ve been here before and knew what we were getting, but have to say were even more disappointed than our visit 5 years earlier. The food is just fine. But it’s the service. So slow. Painfully slow. Even for drinks. And although there were other customers, not enough to justify how slow it was. To add insult to the situation, there was apparently a large group on the way because there were a series of steam trays set up for a buffet. And a lady tending to them. Just sitting there. The WHOLE time. Never did see the group arrive. So why was she there doing nothing? And to add to that, was the music. There was a live DJ and it was LOUD. So loud that except for the persons sitting right next to you, or across from you, we couldn’t carry on a conversation within our group.I think I have to say, next BVI trip, will look for alternatives and/or adjust our schedule so that we don’t visit Loblolly Bay during the lunchtime. We are so sorry about the slow service. We will make sure to address this!
