Went here for dinner last evening thought it had to be a T bone medium rare for a hungry me - not cheap but so what I needed it- apart from being maybe 1cm âthickâ it was shocking from the first touch of the knife and you can see the final product in the photo. Sinew, gristle just bloody awful. I wish Iâd sent it back but never been a fan of that - wifeâs duck helped her diet as some little meat, best meal was the bangers n mash! The cheapest also be far. Wonât be backHi Mike, thank you for letting us know and providing photos - we do wish you had sent it back so our Chef on the night could have fixed it immediately for you. We have used your feedback for training in the team and so we very much appreciate you sharing the problem. The Alexandra Headlands Hotel, or The Alex as it's called by the locals offers a range of meals in a comfortable casual dining environment. We serve all of your bistro favourites, wood fire pizzas and delicious dishes from the char-grill.
We had a great meal here. Up market pub food. Their specials board was amazing. They asked us to review them as it was a new menu. Even the chef came out to see us. We told them it was great. Such a good variety. There were 6 of us in our party, we all had something different and everyone really enjoyed their meal.Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave this great review. It's always great to receive this kind of feedback.I am glad your group all tried a variety of dishes and each was enjoyable. Our new Head Chef is very proud of the food that is now coming out of the kitchen.Hopefully we will see you back here again sometime soon.Kind regardsReuben. Decent variety of beers. Some local brews and imported. Black Hops egg nog stout was delicious. Sick Puppy pale ale was also a highlight. Didnât have any food. Service was good but they need more than two serving in busy periods - sometimes thereâs only one (?). Toilet seat was busted and broken which is really unforgivable. The brews will bring us back.

Although I worked in Munich I never really enjoyed the Bavarian specialties (particularly wild boar) and I'm not really a fish eater, so it was either pizzas or schnitzels. We opted for the chicken schnitzel ($29.50) and - honestly - one would have sufficed for us two adults! It practically covered the dinner plate, and concealed a small mound of beautifully crispy chips. The side salad was entirely wasted, I'm afraid, because the chicken was succulent, tender, moist and enhanced by the generous, fresh lemon slices they gave us. And to complement that meal a fine Pinot Grigio from Western Australia (a steep $40.00). The service Arthur (a French guy from Provence) gave us was friendly, utterly professional and welcoming. Merci beaucoup, Arthur!

Attended a small family wedding here and due to the room being very loud and crowded I asked if there was somewhere quiet to feed my three month old baby, as in aware in other similar venues there can be small lounge areas with couches. I was advised that this establishment didnât have a lounge are (which was absolutely fine) but I was then told if Iâm more than welcome to used the disabled toilet....what the actual!! So definitely NOT family friendly in my eyes!

A family friendly casual dining experience at affordable prices beers and cider on tap as well as a great range of bottled beer and spirits
The food was delicious and portions generous. The only negative was the service was quite slow and when we arrived there was only one other table occupied. However the waitress did apologise for the long wait time. What I really like about this cafe is they have a seperate menu for gluten free customers. I would go back but I would make sure I have plenty of time.
