After a few recommendations we decided to visit Lal Bagh for our date night. Restaurant itself needs some uplifting and modernising which is understandably easier said then done in food business.Service was great, our waiter Lion was very attentive and look after us well, especially when we told that we have tight timetable with movie booked. Then the food- really tasty and felt authentic. Portions good size, manageable unlike other places and had good protein/ sauce ratio.Overall this place has great potential, as long as food quality continues it should grow within the community. Will be definitely returning once we see a couple more stars in food standards ratings!

Had a meal here at our favourite Indian tonight & we always rave about it, however: We went early & were given stale poppadoms.... I suspect reheated from yesterday. On sending them back the second lot were not much better & the waiter told me that the first lot hadnât had enough time on the hot plate. Uhhhh? Shouldnât they come straight out of a pan if cooked fresh? So onto mains & I ordered the monk fish curry which I of course expected would be frozen monk fish but it was inedible - tough as nails & not cooked through. I sent it back & the waiter had the cheek to tell me that is how monk fish is cooked. Not when I cook it or order it elsewhere!!! They thankfully knocked the cost of this off our bill. To be fair my dad loved his chicken syltheti & we had a lovely chana bhuna & sag paneer. Our starter which was like a large flat chicken pakora was very nice too. We love the owner / chef & mostly our food was good so we will be back.
