Visiting family in Ipswich, this was near their home so booked for Saturday evening. Nice smart room and a nice welcome. Pretty quiet for a Saturday.A few unfamiliar dishes on the menu, I tried one I hadn't heard of, murgh tikka rong purée. It was very good, everybody else happy with their choices too. Good sides. Prices looked about what you'd expect.Talking to the manager (?) seems they grow their chillies themselves, can't get fresher than that!Very happy to go again

been there for years so should be in most directories...just surprised they are not on TA
Saturday night takeaway. We had starters of chicken tandoori and lamb tikka. A shared mushroom rice, lamb tikka chilli masala, lamb tikka Balti and peshwari naan. Included free popadums and an onion salad. All for under £24 delivered to the house. The lamb was tender and very tasty. The chilli masala was rich and hot with green chilli. Goes perfectly with the peshwari naan. The mushroom rice was lovely.. lots of tasty mushrooms and a good flavour. We were advised delivery would be within the hour which it was. Food arrived hot. Good portion sizes and the meat was tender all well flavoured and I'd certainly order from here again. Thanks.

I visited this restaurant with colleagues and friends for our Christmas celebration dinner. We were a group of 12 people, they were very professional but friendly at service. In no time at all, we were being served our chosen dishes. Which were I may add, large portions.... They tasted delicious and piping hot.. Very attentive service. We were not rushed, and were offered a complimentary small port or baileys to end our meal.Prices are competitive but keen.. Decided I would pay another visit due to excellent food and service and comfort... And we (hubby) and I did... We were treated as very welcome guests. Again, food was really hot and tasty, drinks were cold and welcome.. If you love Indian food then book your night out here.

Already great reviews and Maharani did not disappoint at all! The food was excellent and the service too. Very helpful staff and a great menu which had all the classic dishes and in addition a great selection of chefs specialities for a bit more choice too. Would definitely recommend visiting Maharani.

I used to visit regularly this place for casual dinner or lunch. Mango Chutney and Mango Lassi is awesome. Hyderabadi dum Biryani is a must eat here. I am sure everybody will love it. Service is superb. Indian bread is not upto mark with authentic Indian bread. It is a place one can go casually or even party there. They also deliver at home.

Stopped by for a take away on our way home, great service and friendly staff. Restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. Waited 15-20 minutes for our food during this time our taste buds were entertained by the constant flow of food coming out of the kitchen. I ordered a dish that Iâve never had before, it was a bit oily and lacked a bit in the flavour department, maybe I should have stuck to what I know to make a decent comparison. My wifeâs curry tasted great and we would definitely return here again.

I have read many reviews of the Biryani hut, yesterday I found myself in the right place, at the right time. I wasn't surprised to see a small queue, it's popular. My short wait was compensated by some great food. I opted for the prawn biryani meal deal, but upgraded the included drink to a mango lassi. The meat samosa and onion bhaji to start were lovely. The biryani was excellent, well cooked and well flavoured. The Dahl that was served on top of it was like the icing on a cake, perfect. I can't wait for another visit. : D
