Visited this restaurant after it was recommended to my husband. We'd heard amazing things about the food so when it didn't live up to expectations we were disappointed.Firstly we were shoved in a corner downstairs. the decor was shabby & we mainly saw & heard the kitchen door opening & closing & the staff in the book. i think this area would be better served as a bar/waiting area. I ordered the butterfly prawn starter - it was £6.95 for TWO prawns. wasn't pleased. at least 3 is reasonable & 4 would be ideal. they were fairly tasty. i'm not sure why you would serve bits of shredded lettuce & carrots as a salad with this prawns as well as a dollop each of chilli & mint sauces. the prawns are cooked in butter. they shouldn't be mixed with these sauces. my husband had fish pakoras which were greasy & thin pieces of fish that had little flavour. i think they were tilapia. we got my son sheekh kebabs which were underseasoned & had red food colouring in them. his chips were nice.mains were much better. i had the punjabi murgh (chicken & mince) it was meant to be spicy but wasn't. it was a nice dish but they used chicken tikka pieces like any other curry house. i hate that, for over £12 i would expect proper chicken pieces. price of this dish was ridiculous. husband had lamb daal spinach which was quite tasty because it was a bit different but nothing special.Naan & Chapattis weren't soft & fluffy & the naan was quite crispy. no butter or anything on it either.Bill came to just over £56 (3 soft drinks no alcohol). which was a bit on the pricier side for what it was.staff were attentive & polite.a nice enough visit but won't be rushing back. i can order this type of curry on just eat & it would be a lot cheaper. i hope this review was constructive enough as i don't want any backlash from the restaurant

Visited 09 October 2019.There is a midweek deal whereby a starter, main, side dish and naan/rice are all available for just under £13.The food was cooked and presented very well. Service was quick and friendly. There was also an ice cream freebie at the end.I would recommend this restaurant highly and look forward to visiting again next time we are in the area.

As is our tradition, whenever our small group of football supporting friends return from an away game, supporting our team, we use the trusty iPhone to locate an Indian restaurant with a good rating. On this occasion, returning from Villa Park, we located Sreepur, and tracked it down on the sat nav, having previously called to secure a table. The setting for the restaurant was rather incongruous. See amidst houses, on a corner, and raised on a concrete platform, it looked out of place. It had large windows, that were far from attractive, and no curtains or window dressing. However, we had booked, and so we entered. The welcome was a warm, one, and soon the staff were chatting with us about the game. Orders were taken speedily, drinks served, and appetisers delivered to the table. We all ordered very different main courses, and we all thought the food excellent. Well cooked, delightfully served, and extremely tasty. If we head up to Villa Park again, this one is noted on Google Maps. A must for a return visit.

As a group of mates, we have been eating at Indian restaurants for nearly thirty years, and this is one of our favourites. Great customer service combined with superb food and very good value. Well worth a try in our opinion.

Stuck in Solihull overnight. Curry needed. TripAdvisor consulted and walking distance acceptable. Well what a find! Perfect portion size. Perfect spicing and different to our normal West Yorkshire offerings. Staff were fantastic. Spoke to the boss as well who was very keen to ensure we had enjoyed our meal. 28 covers. Above their takeaway. Highly recommended.

Went to the Indian Kitchen this evening to celebrate our friends upcoming birthday. Greeted by Alex the owner. Very welcoming. We were using our Tastecard deal. Fantastic being able to use it on a Friday night. Obviously we had rang and booked a table in advance so knew we could use it as it was early evening. Such good value. We were a group of 4, all had starter's. Alex went through menu with us explaining what some of food was like, offered recommendations for our taste preference. Onion barjis were really nice. Great presentation. Food was freshly cooked, lovely hot chips. Lamb balti delicious and nice naan bread. Gave us complimentary ice-cream that finished meal off nicely. Relaxed atmosphere, really enjoyed our night in there. First time there, won't be the last. Thank you Alex and the rest of the staff

Staying in Birmingham overnight,A fellow guest suggested during a conversation about Curry house excellence visiting B26 Indian food on A 45 Coventry Road Sheldon. How Fortunate. Having ventured. The food served was "The Best we have eaten" for many years, It was hot, tasty , and didn't cost the earth. The service was excellent, The decor was comfortable and appealing. My Wife is Wheelchair bound and access to a convenient table was easy. The Bhoona dishes were "TO DIE FOR" Chicken and Lamb, The Nan Bread was perfect. Jam tart & Ice cream " "Complimentary" followed, Even the Pompadoms and pickles were prepared with care to maintain quality, " It was very clear that Quality was a priority to the establishment Endorsed many times by customers coming & going voicing their feedback. Ordered on a Saturday night with the expectations it would be busy. Ordered at 7.15 with delivery for 8. Phoned at 8.30 and the order was leaving the kitchen in 5 minutes. Then phoned at 9.15 and the order had apparently left 5 minutes before. We only live a couple of minutes round the corner so it should have arrived. They kept asking if we had ordered through Uber or Just Eat, it seemed like they didnât even know Deliveroo was used.Phoned again at 9.25 after Deliveroo had informed us the meal had been delivered. Apparently it was still on its way so we decided to cancel as we were fed up. The curry finally arrived at about 9.50.... 2 hours and 40 minutes after we originally ordered! We didnât want the curry now as we had had to go order pizza instead.

Absolutely blown away by this little gem of a restaurant. Could fault nothing. Looks inviting from the outside and we received a warm welcome inside. Spotless including toilets. Tastefully decorated. Lovely ambiance. Service just as we like it. Food was the best we had tasted in a long time. Excellent presentation and piping hot. Tuesday is a special offer night. £9.99 for popadom and dips, choice of starter, main, rice or bread. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Bring your own booze option was a nice surprise. Shop a couple of doors down to buy. Highly recommended.
