Montana has deservedly won quite a few awards for the quality of the food they prepare. We have been here quite a few times, both to eat in, and for take out, bit it has been a little while since we last ate in. I am pleased to say that this restaurant remains one of my favourite Indian/Kashmiri restaurants. The standard of food here surpasses any other similar restaurant any where, in my opinion. The menu is varied, with a wide selection of dishes based on the regions of the northern part of the subcontinent, and there is a good choice for the vegetarians amongst us. The staff will tell you that any dish on the menu can be prepared as a vegetarian option, which means that veggies have the same varied choice as the carnivores! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, will take the time to explain the dishes, and are very attentive. This time we went for the banquet night, which at £14.95 per person for 2 courses, is excellent value. Starting with poppadoms and pickles, followed by onion bhaji (the best bhaji on the planet!), and a nice hot curry. The spices are not over done as you find in many Indian restaurants. The dishes are spiced much more as you would find locally in India or Bangladesh or Pakistan, with a nice great, but full of flavour. If you have not yet tried Nibana, I thoroughly recommend you do.

We thought we were getting a meal at the Ferry House Inn (see separate review) but were let down so went in search for a take away that wasn't McD's or KFC - luckily we stumbled across Taste of India and our resulting take away was very tasty indeed. There was no one eating in the restaurant while we were waiting (21:30) and in fact the restaurant area was in darkness, so not sure if they had closed the restaurant or hadn't opened yet - but for us a life saver take away and just what we needed.

Subham has been our established Indian takeaway for the last few years and each time the food is right on the money! Delicious tasty and everything you would expect and more from an Indian. I would thoroughly recommend their slightly different take on Madras and also the vindaloo which is delicious and hot at the same time. Subham never disappoint!!
