Reviews on Balti food in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Craigavon (/kreɪˈɡævən/ kray-GAV-ən; Irish: Creag Abhann) is a planned settlement in northern County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Its construction began in 1965 and it was named after Northern Ireland's first Prime Minister: James Craig, 1st Viscount Craigavon. It was intended to be the heart of a new linear city incorporating Lurgan and Portadown, but this plan was abandoned and less than half of the proposed work was done. Among locals today, "Craigavon" refers to the area between the two towns. It is built beside two artificial lakes and is made up of a large residential area (Brownlow), a second smaller one (Mandeville), plus a central area (Highfield) that includes a substantial shopping centre, a courthouse and the district council headquarters. The lakes, a wildlife haven, are surrounded by woodland with walking trails. There is also a watersports centre, petting zoo, golf course and ski slope in the area. In most of Craigavon, motor vehicles are completely separated from pedestrians, and roundabouts are used extensively.

On a May Day Monday night there were quite a few customers in, we hadnt been here before and thought we'd give it a go, it's certainly nicer inside than out, and bigger than it looks, we ordered starters and maincourses plus sides, service was excellent, food was delicious although not as spicy per dish as we expected, I ordered Jalfrezi which was nice, but less spicy than I usually get, and the bombay aloo was dry, but again, very nice. I can recomend this delighful wee place we will certainly be back, although it was a little pricy we feltThank you Sir, We love to welcoming you in the future

Iâd only ever had takeaways from Indian Tree which whetted my appetite to try out the restaurant option for a friendâs birthday. Smiling and friendly service combined with good humour and banter. The food was outstanding and remarkably well priced. Iâd go so far as to say Iâve never had better Peschwari naan in my life. Highly recommended

I used to go here every weekend, but after this latest visit i won't be back. The prices have increased so much so that its now a complete rip off and the food hasn't improved or increased in portion size to warrant the price increase. We used to order poppadoms and two vegetable mains without rice and two naan breads which was around the £20 mark, but the last time it was nearly £35, which i thought was very over priced. I will be giving The Indian Tree and Star of India restaurants my custom from now on.
