Situated at top of the pass (1800m) between The Tirol and Salzburger Land it has wonderful views over the Felbertaurn towards the GroÃGlockner which youcan enjoy from the terraces you eat. The food is typically Austrian and very good. The Breitmoos (Peppersauce) steak has the reputation of being the best in the area,I think this underrates it, Iâve never eaten better .the accompanying butter roasted/ sautéed potatoes are simply Devine. This family run Gasthof oozes Austrian Gemütlichkeit. The service is warm and welcoming. If youâre anywhere within 50kms no make that a 100km take time to visit it. My wife and I have visited many times and the food and service has always remained excellent .Incidently the keynote steak is available in a Senior portion.I usually have difficulty in giving any review 5 Stars but Iâd give this one 6 if I could. Not for fancy food but because it represents everything that you might expect from Austriaâs famed hospitality , good food, good service, good portions at reasonable prices.

This is a must go too âbucket listâ venue for dinner. Yes, the apres ski party is lively early evening but the management close the Restaurant from 6pm and make it nice and cosy for dinner at 7:30 and wow what a dinner experience. Book early.

I'm so sorry to write this but the last time when we were here the food was so poor and tasteless. I was several time here the have a nice traditional Austrian dinner and it was always ok but now something happened. Maybe they have new chef in the kitchen... And on the top the service was not as nice as usual. Our waiter was the rudest person I ever met.Definitely not going here anymore. There are a lot of better places in Hinterglemm for this price.

Visited here with a party of 41 students and 6 staff members. We ordered our pizzas in advance and these arrived promptly at our tables on arrival. All students were given a complimentary drink and were offered the chance of an ice cream at the extra cost of â¬1 each. The pizzas were very reasonably sized and extremely tasty and fresh. Would certainly recommend

Had a lovely meal with my girlfriend. Fantastically cooked local cuisine, very reasonably prices and friendly service. They have their own beer brewed just a short distance away. Very delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend this restaurant. The only trouble is they allow smoking which could be off putting to some. Otherwise this was a good dining experience.

Hotel Schloss Mittersill reflects the perfect symbiosis of tradition and modernity. Even today, the splendour of bygone times can be sensed in our rooms and suites: elegant parquet floors, precious antique furniture and paintings accentuate the grandeur o
We stopped at Schloss Mittersill for something to drink on the way from Liens to Munich. The location is fantastic and the service is good. We found a nice table in the sun in the castle courtyard. We had some coffee and soft drinks. The service was good. If you walk through the restaurant you can find a table on the balcony with a nice view of the wally.

At the heart of our farmhouse is the old âRauchkuchlâ, a unique type of kitchen common to alpine regions from the late middle ages to the end of the 19th century. Enjoy the unique opportunity of watching Theresia Bacher prepare a feast for you in her open
We spent a long weekend there. It is like travelling back in time and spending your stay/nights in a more than 100 years old farmershouse. Amazing. Owner Theresia Bacher is also cooking, delicious and a lot! Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Strong recommendation!

I don't expect that there are many places like the Rudolfshutte around. This place is located some 2 500 above sealevel and is surrounded by mountainviews and a water scenary (dam). If you want to you can hike around the lake, using ladders or just walk along the shores. Remember that it is an isolated place and you will have to look into transportation so that you don't get stuck up here. I cannot offer a report on the standard of the hotel. However, I am quite sure that it is more than acceptable considering that standard of the restaurant and the amenities offered.

We always start our hiking week in Uttendorf with a hike up to Alpengasthof Liebenberg. After the rebuilt and enlargement of the veranda it is even a nicer place and as always the view over the Pingauer valley is picture-perfect. We start normally with gulaschsoup and wine/beer and follow up with a nice dessert or hot chocholate with rum. This was the procedure this year as well and we could only confirm when walking town several hours later, that this start of our hiking week had been as good as the ones earlier years and we will be coming back next year. So thanks from Maj-Ingers group of week 39!
