Things to do in Tschagguns

Had lunch here and enjoyed the variety of food (including desserts) that were on offer. It was very hassle free as well.

We had dinner here one night in January and were pleasantly surprised by the restaunrant/gasthaus. Good food: steaks, trout or other 'traditional' choices. The open fire was buring nicely and it was a very nice evening. If there is anything "negative' to say it would be that there is also a separate "smoking section" inside. Although it did not bother us at all in the non smoking section it surpirsed us a little that there even was a smoking section these days. Anyway, we would definitively go back here for a nice meal. We coud not enjoy the view as it was night time so maybe a visit in future in Summer time is on the cards.

Typical Austrian Restaurant. Good and various menu; also for children some nice plates. Service/personal was fine. However unbelievable that you need to pay cash anno 2016... In a restaurant situated in a hotel. No cards accepted at all. So I needed to visit a ATM. Besides that no cleaning room for children. So good restaurant, nice and affordable menu but to traditional and way to old fashioned in terms of payment possibilities and services.
We've been there this month. The road to go to that place is already fantastic. Food is typical Austrian but well done. Service is efficient and friendly. You just need to go there during your stay in the region !

Good traditional Austrian food. We had rösti and spätzle. Table reservation is recommended in high season. Restaurant interior rustic Austrian. Staff could have been friendlier.

Fantastic place to eat in family. Great spirit of the chef and the waiters...all in traditional Austrian dress! All food is excellent (try the fish ;-))...but for sure try the Ice-coffee for dessert. The best I ever tasted (I ordered it twice...miam miam)

I came here with my friend and we had a lovely dinner, and enjoyed a few different wines from the open menu. Pinot Noir was the best. I also liked the little pot of warm soup that came it was lovely. My starter was carpaccio with salad and was brilliant, main course was very traditional schnictsel..

First meal in Austria and what a great place - so personably and such delicious food. Of course the schnitzel is a must be also their salads are great and really great value in a great environment - packed but with very accomodating staff - reservations are recommended.I'd definitely come back. Check out the photos. We ate their twice in our 3 day hike in the area.
