A little bit out of town (10 mins walk from Main Street) and in an elevated position above town. Very good quality pizzas, pasta salads etc as well as more traditional meat and fish dishes. Large dining area and a Stuberl too. Very good value for money and quality good.
We came before dinner-time, the lady-owner, how also cooks, was not there yet. They took our drink orders and a couple of minutes the owner arrived. She apoligized multiple times for being late and then she cooked fantastic food at anincredible price. The wife had Kaiserschmarrn, a typical Austrian sweet dish - and she is stil talking about ist, how good it was. The girl had grilled turkey-breast, tender and tasty with fries and a huge salad. She is ususally very picky when it comes to food, but this one she liked. I had the hous-platter with different grilled pieces of meat - very good and helps, whem you are REALLY hungry. The girl asked for icecream, but they didn´t have the kind she wanted on the menu - but they still served it to her. The owner came every 5 minutes to ask if everything was OK and entertained us with many nice stories of the skiing place. We will defenitely come again!
We went as a family after reading the reviews here. I can only say that the food was poor and the taste was bad. I can assume that if someone gave a good review is because he was drunken or tired after skiing.

Very nice restaurant close main square. Delicious soup with Leberknoedles wake you up after your all day hiking tour. Very tasty Wiener schnitzel is no mistake selection. But must have is Herrengoulash with dumplings!! For very reasonable price you will get best meal in town!

We ate the ribs. As you can see from the photo it is a large slab. I believe it is the chef who spoke English. He recommended a nice bottle of wine 36 Euro which is a little more than other bottles at other restaurants. Be advised they do not take credit cards so have your Euros ready.

you need to know how to find it, it is way above in the hills, standing on its own. From Flachau you need a car or ebike. From Altenmarkt it is a very nice hike via Winterbauer. The place is very nice, very children friendly, lots of animals around, wonderful view. Average food, beverages and service

we are regulars, we do like the place. On our last visit the service was a real disappointment. Hermann, Tina and a young colleague were on duty. Hermann was the best, the other two way below par. The young one incompetent, Tina could not be bothered, almost unpleasant. The food was good but not great.

We tried to go there on Friday evening, but it was full... We made a reservation for Saturday and went there for pizza. It was delicious. The beer was served quickly and cooled nicely. The waitress was attractive and pleasant :) We enjoyed the stay in a nice restaurant. We left good tip :) Other food seemed delicious as well (from other tables), we can recommend it! And prices were OK :)

Let yourself be enchanted by the Hotel Stegerbräuâs traditional flair, with a tasty modern twist. Step into these tasteful premises which radiate cosiness and a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail underlines the rural-rustic ambience of the vene
Staying locally in a chalet just outside Radstadt and visited this restaurant for dinner one evening. Lovely old hotel/restaurant with typical Austrian atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and English was no problem as he specifically gave us an English menu. There own stegerbrau beer is very good. I had half a fried chicken with a salad. Plenty of food. The apple strudel was particularly good as a dessert. Value for money was also good as the bill was about 20 euros per head. Well worth a visit.

Looking forward soon to going back to the Burgerbergalm - a wonderful dark, wooden, warm comfortable place on the slopes above Radstadt, I've been in swisher, flashier places but this one sits very easily in my favourite places to sit and eat and just be. You can find better everythings elsewhere but that doesn't matter...... I can breathe, watch the mountains, eat and drink.......
