Dear All, I visited this restaurant once, during my business trip. I had a lunch with my austrian colleagues. Nice staff, good english speakers. Good food, average prices. Check the local beer. Try the Wiener schintzel. Nice plate. Enjoy

The food was really great, the beer average, service good. The location of the toilets is a bit awkward, and it was also a bit cold at the tables near the entrance hall, and of course in the hall itself.

This a very German restaurant. There is no menu. It is all verbal. They have a very limited selection. Get the Brathendl, the baked chicken. It is served as a half chicken with paprika spices. It is moist and delicious. For your pommes frites (French fries) there are five different kinds of ketchup. This restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.

Have been there three times: with a friend, with my wife and with my family. The key is the place: I am sure it is same impressive also in the winter time but in the spring and summer time it is magnificent.Food: feel comfortable to avoid the grill food - it is overpriced for its quality - unfortunately. So choose something from the menu card.And leave a generous tip to the waiters!

Wir kamen hier zufällig im Zuge einer Wanderung durch das KöÃlbachtal vorbei. Wir wollten schon weitergehen und Kneiding links liegen lassen, weil nach unserer Info der Wirt erst ab 15:00 Uhr aufsperrt. Wir beschlossen dann jedoch dem Ort (geschätzte 5-10 Häuser und eine Kirche) einen kurzen Besuch abzustatten. Beim alten Sägewerk, dem Sägerer, sagte man uns, dass der Wirt heute doch schon offen hat. Wir gingen weiter und fanden ein ganz uriges Wirtshaus vor, welches sich auf beide StraÃenseiten ausdehnt. Innen eine alte gemütliche Stube. Das Speisenangebot geht vom einfachen Schmalzbrot bis zum Steak vom Angus Rind. Auch die hausgemachten Mehlspeisen sind ein Gedicht. Die Preise sehr moderat. Schade, dass es für uns so weit weg ist.

We was there with a friend on our bicycle trip.The road from Danube river is little bit like a mountain premium but the award on the top is that cafe.Beautiful view to Passau city with confluence of three rivers Danube,Inn and Ilz.Sitting on a terrace with icecream and coffee was a great reward.Standard prices and pleasant staff.
