Reviews on Austrian food in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Munich exudes Bavarian charm. Beer fanatics should head immediately to the Hofbräuhaus, a hops heaven that’s been churning out the good stuff since 1589. The drinking is downright legendary during Oktoberfest, a celebration of local beers and German specialty foods. Emulate world-class athletes at the Olympiapark, where skating on the Olympic ice rink will make you feel like a champion. The promenade of Marienplatz is perfect for people watching and gawking at the Glockenspiele of City Hall.

No freedom of choice - and that's a good thing. Manuel Reheis offers a wonderful set menu every evening at the Broeding. As a gourmet all you have to do is to decide whether you want to go for the five or six course meal. There is a great selection of win
There are a number of things that set this restaurant apart from the other we went to - lovely refined food, efficient and casual service, quaint neighbourhood â but what really impressed was the sommelier and wine pairings. A must-go-to spot for dinner in Munich.

Had dinner tonight and didnât realise until we got back to our room and checked the receipt that we had been charged an extra $19.50. Shouldâve totalled no more than $35 with a service fee, but was charged $49.70. Absolutely absurd. Would not recommend the place purely because of this. Food was okay otherwise.

This is an Austrian/northern Italian joint. The wine list is not extensive as itâs limited to the tyrolean areas of those two countries but the reds and whites were both pretty good. The food is hearty and very well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive. We had a seafood stew and some regional dumplings. Both were wonderful.
