Waren schon ein paar Mal bei Biggi. Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Portionen groà und die Bedienung und vor allem die Chefin freundlich. Immer wieder gerne.

When we found our hotel's restaurant was inexplicably closed we looked for an alternative and the buzz of happy diners convinced us to come in.It is a traditional wine growers wine bar with tasty simple food of the meat cheese and bread variety bought cafeteria style. Of course there is excellent wine.It turned out to be a very pleasant evening, although we have been to similar places with better and more extensive food offerings.
"Heuriger MUDI" in Mörbisch am See is the location I have tried to write a review for the last few weeks. Tripadvisor continued to place my review under the listing of a restaurant by the same name in Eisenstadt. This is incorrect, and my review is still visible there regardless to how often I have pointed out the error. Now, the location is correct, but the name of the establishment is not "Morbisch, Austria" but "Heuriger MUDI" located in Morbisch, Austria. TA already has a listing of Morbisch, with hotels, restaurants and sights. This upper portion of my review is written for the administration of TA, and can be deleted when the corrections have been implemented. There is no other way of contacting them or pointing out such errors. All I could do was re-submit all the forms with notes hoping someone somewhere would notice. Here is my review of the restaurant:As I have written previously, my wife and I always inquire from locals where they eat and feel the best meals are served. They live there, I do not. Thus, most of the time I follow their advice and avoid having meals intended for tourists that do not know any better. MUDI Heuriger was one such restaurant that was recommended not only by our B&B hosts but a clerk in a local grocery store. The dishes that are served here are made of good wholesome food typical of these regional Heurigers. (A "Heuriger" is a restaurant that serves local meat, cheese and vegetable products together with their own wine). We usually enjoy a meat platter for 2 and a seasonal soup called "Kürbiscremesuppe" (Pumpkin Cream Soup) with a basket of bread. Everything is really delicious. If you visit Austria in late Aug., Sept. or October, be sure to try "Sturm". This is a partially fermented wine made from the first grape harvest of the season, which tastes much like a juice but packs a punch, not only getting you tipsy very fast, but also "cleaning your pipes" as one might say. Therefore treat and drink it with respect and within reason. But it is a unique and very special beverage and enjoyed by Austrians and visitors (that know about it) alike. The restaurant is very centrally located. Reservations might be a good idea at busy times of the year.

We stayed here for a farewell dinner after five days in Mörbisch and were satisfied with surprise. The staff was very friendly and fast, the food was very good, but I expected a liitle more from my glasseye on butter and garlic.

A plus point for this restaurant is that on some dishes you can have a large or small portion. The food was hot and tasty, service was good and we could make alterations to the meals, ie potatoes instead of rice. As I am allergic to mustard it was good to see the allergens listed on each dish. The Austrians lead on this, excellent. Some of the staff spoke English too.

Within the Hotel there is a 350-seat Restaurant with a winter garden, banquet room and terrace. Our menu carries the best in local dishes and International cuisine- each week there are new specials that are suited to each season and special holidays.
Sunday before lunchtime (around 11am) we went for breakfast and asked if there is still a possibity to sit down for an omelette. In the entrance they said yes but inside when we sit down to order the main waiter started to laugh and said that "breakfast should be breakfast time, now you can lunch as its lunchtime". Bahh we stood up and left without saying hello.

We chose Dani's based on recommendations and Tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant did not live up to its reputation. I found my Schweisbraten both tough and fatty. My wife enjoyed her Greek Salad, but found the ingredients to be fresh, but not especially interesting. The wines were very good. The service was friendly, but very hurried because the restaurant was full.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Morbisch. We picked this restaurant for dinner at random and were very pleasantly surprised. It has a lovely traditional interior and atmosphere. The menu offered a range of more modern style Austrian dishes with a focus on local produce, especially fish from the lake. We were very happy with the quality of food. I had the seasonal soup for starter followed by tagliatelle with chanterelles, both were extremely good. The restaurant itself can cater for a large number of people and it has an outdoor terrace which would be lovely in the warmer months. My only negative comment is that our waiter was not very friendly and it felt more like the service given in Vienna rather than the usually friendly service in Burgenland. Otherwise, an excellent dinner.Good evening, dear Fam. runsammie,Thank you so much for your kind visit in our restaurant; thank you very much for your top rating given to us - especially for the quality of food and the atmoshere. We sincerely regret the waiter's unfriendliness; we apologize for this accidental manner. We hope we can welcome you again in our premises. Thank you for visiting uns ! Kind regards, the Schmidt Family & the entire team.
