Die jause für zwei u die käferbohnen war gut und mehr als reichlich. Man produziert guten wein. Die Chefin könnte freundlicher sein. Ansonsten ein gemütlicher Abend.

English people probably in general have no idea what a Buschenshank is. Well, neither did I until my visit to this restaurant.A Buschenshank is a special status restaurant. They are tax free because they sell what they produce themselves and buy nothing in. They also do not serve hot food. You may think that this restricts their ability to provide a square meal but this is not the case. This particular restaurant was superb. They provided cold meats, cheeses, cured sausages, pickled vegetables and above all their own wines - a real variety - and I dare say much more which we did not have the time to sample. And it was really very cheap!Styria is a part of Austria which seems little known. Everyone thinks of the alps, snow and skiing. None of that here but thermal baths and wine yards are the order of the day.If you have not been to a Buschenshank you must try it as it will prove to be a unique experience as it was for us.

If you are in Bad Radkersburg, then these Restaurant is the one for you. They offer tipical Austrian food and international food. The menu is based mostly on meat...for vegeterians it will be hard to get something outside from the salat.

We had a fabulous dinner at the nicely designed and newly adapted Genusshirsch. The menu features local products from vegetarian to game specialities. The creamy mushroom soup served with wild boar crackling simply fabulous.Perfectly roasted venison, pike perch and even a simple schnitzel just perfectly presented. The wine list features mostly local wines, which are amongst the best of Austria. What a perfect evening, thank you!!

Kürbiskernsuppe (Pumpkin seed soup) and Angus Burger were great! The waitresses were polite and helpful. However the place is an ice cream/dessert store and café, only narrow range of sweets were available. The place is open even if the others are closed (12PM-3PM) in the afternood, which is very helpful if you arrive early in the afternoon.

all i can say its a typical austrian "buschenschank" with some modern and quite sophisticated ambience which i really liked. food is awesome, apart from the usual choices a lot of daily home made specialties and recommendations. wine is absolutely delicious, so dont miss out and get some take away bottles. service very attentive and friendly, like the local touch ;-) had a great evening and hope to be back soon

This Gasthof is a 15 minute walk from the Hauptplatz and it is advisable to take the walk because the walk back will help you digest the large, delicious portions served. The service is efficient and friendly, the price is right for the large selection of traditional Styrian dishes, beer and wines. Lieber Gast, vielen lieben Danke für die nette Bewertung - wir hoffen, dass Sie auch beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Bad Radkersburg den FuÃmarsch nach Laafeld wagen :) Herzliche GrüÃe!

Of the restaurants we tried in Radkersburg, this was the one that stood out - the food was well-prepared and very tasty - dishes are still essentially the local specialities, they are just done better than anywhere else we tried them. The restaurant is clearly aimed more at locals than touriest, given its decor and older fittings and furniture, but that does add to the charm.Only downside - and that one is not limited to this restaurant, but many places we visited, is that smoking is allowed inside the main area - and being used to non-smoking restaurants, that's quite a turn-off. But, as mentioned, not limited to this place along.

I am quite proud to be the first English speaker to review this local restaurant. We spent a couple of days in Bad Radkersburg and found this little pub quite by accident. There is not a lot one can say about it save that it was really excellent; the food was first class; the drink was most palatable and the service was welcoming and efficient and they spoke to us in English too!We discovered there a very nice Austrian red wine. We can recommend it.
