Gaumenfreuden garantiert! Wir verwöhnen Si
Weâve been visiting Alpbach for the last 10 years, summer and winter and have often stopped into the Post Alm for a drink or bite to eat but this year, it seems itâs certainly not the place it once was!We were served by the same grumpy barman as a previous reviewer who, when giving us our change for a couple of drinks, decided to give us one euro short. Surely, itâs our decision if we want to leave a tip? There are plenty of other excellent options in Alpbach so will think twice before going back if thatâs their new policy.

when you get to this SPLENDID and TRENDY restaurant you have 2 choices... staying in the elegant, classy and soft music inside or staying outside with the view to the beautiful mountains....but in both cases you are lucky to be there. great service (CONGRATULATION), very tasty and "international and classy food" in a restaurant that could easily be in Kitzbuel or Cortina....TOP TOP TOP,,,, for people who would like to live a trendy experience but....WITH VERY COMPETITIVE prices.... first evening, and then the experience was so good we decided to go the evening after....CONGRATULATION.... NOT TO MISS dear travelers....
Super restaurant with superstaff. Always high quality and fair prices, Very Good! Try the local specials

Reaching the end of the valley you find this civilized mountain resturant. A wonderful view to overlook the entire Alpbach valley. Roast pork with sauce is outstanding, served every Sunday or order in advance on other days. Kind service and even a home made Schnapps to end the experience, complimentary of course. Enjoy.

We have been visiting the Thalmuhle for a number if years due to the atmosphere, the consistently good food and the friendly service.Everything about the restaurant is what you would expect from a traditional Tyrollean restaurant. Wooden interior, small windows and homely touches. The restaurant comprises two rooms. Whilst both are cosy try to get into the main room as has separate booths and is the cosier of the two.The food is of a consistently good standard with the focus being on local delicacies. The Muhlradl with spaetzle is my favorite but everything we have ordered has been delicious. The restaurant is family run and the service is efficient and friendly. For a good value meal and a taste of the Tyrol- try to visit when there is harp music- this is the place to go.Make sure you book as is always full - it is popular with locals.

We came upon this cafe after a ramble from the neighbouring village of Auffach towards Oberau took us along a steep footpath through the woods and brought us out into the hamlet of Roggenboden. The licensed cafe, whilst doing traditional tyrolean hot dishes, really specialises in turning ice-cream sundaes into works of art! These desserts were a real treat, the service was friendly and efficient, and the visit didn't break the bank. Be aware that the signage in the road isn't very clear and the cafe itself hadn't put up any signs to say they were open! So, if in doubt, ask a local and try the door!!danke

Family lunch - loved it great food really friendly and lovely atmosphere. Just off the slopes by 100m so much quieter and unrushed. Definitely worth a visit

This was our first hike and we took a bit of a detour, but it was well worth it when we got to the top. Ate the famous 'Kaiserschmarren'. Great service and fantastic location.

Traditional Tyrollean restaurant with traditional Tyrollean food. Has a lovely atmosphere especially when the zither player is there. The food is good quality and good value. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely owner kept the restaurant open for us on a Sunday night, we had a delicious meal. The quantities are HUGE, so come hungry! An interesting feature is the caramelised fruit they serve with savoury dishes. Nice choice of Austrian wines (mostly Burgenland). Freshly prepared pancake for dessert. We plan to come back during daytime to be able to enjoy the view even better.
