The well-worn feel of the cafe matches well with the fantastic book collection. We could have spent hours but not with grandkids. Coffee and drinks were good and delivered promptly. I can see how some reviewers might have found the owners unfriendly but we certainly didn't have a problem.
Restaurant Pinot is in the Eastview Estate winery.Lunch there was a treat.First a tasting of the beverages produced on site, wine, beer and vodka, then a substantial and well-prepared meal followed by a wander in the vineyard.Loved the rose petal vodka and the delicious comfort type of food well-suited to the winery surroundings.

Thunderbolt Inn is your historic Australian pub with old timber and wrought-iron on the outside and fireplaces within. For the traveller looking for affordable food, there are a good range of daily specials. Not only was service friendly but the meals were large and tasty. Overall, you can have an affordable and pleasant lunch here.

A lovely little spot with generous portions of good food. My evening meal of all day breakfast was HUGE - lovely thick toast, acres of bacon and they even poached the eggs for me on request. My partner had a hamburger with loads of delicious filling including fresh lettuce, tomato, beetroot etc - the way good hamburgers are meant to be made. And then the chips - hot crisp and plentiful - what is not to like !!!The roaring toasty fire and cheerful wall decorations gave this little restaurant a welcoming ambience - staff were lovely too and we returned for coffee next morning.

Merilba Estate Wines is a premium winery situated in the hills of the New England. Approximately 25 minutes from Uralla & 1 hour from Tamworth, Armidale & Inverell, the Merilba Estate Cellar Door is a delight to the senses. Enjoy lunch at the beautiful Ce
It just gets better at Merilba.Past visits have always been good but this time at Merilba was a great experience.Easter Sunday, beautiful views, superb lunch, good wine, relaxed ambience! We started with a glass of their sparkling and with our meal enjoyed a sémillon Sauvignon Blanc.Entrees were delicious prawns with pineapple and tasty Bombay potatoes followed by equally good mains of fish kofta and chicken. We finished with affogato, sitting back to relax and take in the lovely views to the hills. There were vegetarian options and though the menu is not huge,it caters for all tastes.Staff were charming and service good and not rushed.About 45 mins out of Armidale,a visit here is definitely worth the effort!Thankyou so much for your wonderful review & we're so glad to hear you enjoyed your Merilba experience!

Stopped at Uralla for lunch and went to the Pie Mechanic by chance. Oh, are these pies scrumptious, delicious, full of flavour with loads of filling and chunks of meat and the lightest of pastries. The service added to the great experience. We'll done to all involved. Recommended to everyone who enjoys quality pies.

We are a family owned and operated cafe and wholefood store located in Uralla. We specialize in allergy free, organic, chemical free and local produce.
We loved our visit to the Church! It was recommended by a lovely local at the Top Pub. We enjoyed a browse then ordered brekkie. What a treat! Delish eggs with tom, sourdough, greens for $12. Just perfect, as well as a lovely pot of tea and a rich tasty coffee. Lovely service , lovely people. This small town has great eating, and I wish this cafe would open something like this in Port Macquarie.Totally loved it!
