We visited twice, once with friends for coffee and chocolate and once for breakfast. The coffee and chocolate were both good. We ate poached eggs, spinach and mushrooms on ciabatta for breakfast the next day and the eggs were cooked to order. Good old-fashioned country service and helpfulness.

Came here on a Friday morning for breakfast. Eggs and bacon were delicious (you can certainly tell the difference with free range eggs) and very generous portions. Very friendly staff and had a lovely chat with the owners. Highly recommended plus they use the local coffee roasters (Mahalia in Robe).

Modern Australian cuisine with a focus on South Australian caught seafood, specialising in local crayfish ( Southern rock lobster) and Wagyu beef.
It is with much pleasure reviewing the sails that provides outstanding fine dining service with excellent customer service. The ambiance on Saturday night is perfect with the lady supported to choose the menu item. She is a replica of customer service and very professional. She described the menu in a very tempting manner. Sorry I cannot remember her name. ( short hair lady)Even though the risotto were undercooked the steak my friends ordered was upto the standard. We had a nice time together and hatsoff to crew.

An atmospheric hotel with bar section and dining section. A lot of people there when we arrived at 6.30pm. Menu offers a range of pub food plus seasonal specials. Lots of seating areas with old homely feel - very casual with large TV screen. I had the fish n chips - a bit too much batter so removed it all and just ate the fish. Friends had a middle eastern style lamb dish with pitta and a chicken schnitzel. Looked tasty. Bonus was free help yourself servery with one section containing a selection of salad style offerings and the second section had a great range of hot vegetables - think pumpkin, cauliflower, potatoes carrots, broccoli. Ordered apple pie with icecream but didn't enjoy the stodgy pie crust - tasted uncooked and bland so only ate the filling. Hotel has great sea frontage so would be great in summer to be outside admiring the views across the water. Service relatively slow but not too bad. Food is typical of pub grub and seemed to be popular with locals. Good experience of an old hotel. Prices a bit high but not excessive unless you order seafood. Enjoy.
