Came here expecting a really good lunch but left feeling underwhelmed. The place itself has been well decorated and has a good atmosphere but that's about it. Each of us ordered something different and none of us raved about the food - mine wasn't good at all. The juices we ordered were good and at the end we ordered coffees - again disappointed that they were very average and we were automatically brought a large one without being asked. Would try other places next time.

This is my husbandâscoffee shop stop when he cycles along the beaches. He took me here for breakfast and we had delicious avocado and tomato salsa with poached eggs on toast. The serving was very generous. The coffee was good and we sat on the open veranda looking out to sea. Parking is available behind the cafe.

The very best local, responsibly sourced produce, prepared with flair, a lot of love and just a little bit of wild and yours to enjoy with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Light Lunch for two omnivorous humans. Very pleasant atmosphere and good service. Primarily veggie / vegan menu with a good but limited choice. We had Sea food Ravi. and a venison chorizo plus Chinese duck in spinach wrap. All very tasty and nicely presented. It was a light lunch, so quantities not an issue but would not satisfy a large appetite.Overall I would recommend.Hi there fellow omnivores - thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We pride ourselves on offering variety and a great meal. How good is that locally hand made ravioli?! Love it! Quantities are always subjective but for those wanting to enjoy a fabulous meal and still enjoy the beach without rolling there, we're that place :D

Located at the iconic Clock Tower roundabout in the heart of Scarborough Beach - all locally owned and operated since August 2013. The friendliest customer service down here at our famous beach - come say hi!!
Came here a couple of times for drinks during our stay in Scarborough. Itâs a great atmosphere and the cocktails are gorgeous

The bad reviews just keep coming ....for a reasonWhat has happened ...new management or something but this place is going down hill fast....saving money on poor quality produce....cooks that don't care.....???the only saviour is its location and the ongoing procession of tourists unaware of what they are about to regret...sad....will try again in 6 mths and hope some improvement ...so sad....

Came for Coffee & Cake around after 1pm.Staff are friendly, good selections of cake. Breakfast menu looks great. One gripe it was 2pm and they started moving tables around us it was so annoying we weren't happy it was noisy and not relaxing on Mother's day.

Went for a Sunday lunch as we were in the area. Ordered the smashed avo which was supposed to come with some sort of beetroot relish and I also ordered a glass of red wine. I canât even describe how awful the avo smash was. The avocado was almost brown, the toasted sourdough was not toasted, just bread and worst of all, the beetroot relish was not beetroot relish at all. Iâm not sure whether it was cranberry sauce or some kind of cherry jam or whatever, but the sourdough was sitting on top of this disgusting sweet sauce and between that and the cold brown avocado on top, the bread was really soggy. Clearly they had run out of the beetroot relish. I had one bite of it and called the waiter over and said âIâm not paying for this, itâs disgusting.â So he took it away as it was inedible as far as I was concerned. He came back and said I wonât have to pay. We had waited around 40 minutes for this. My husband had fish and chips and said they were okay. Also wine was $9 per glass for the house wine. During the 40 minutes I waiting for the avocado smash, I noticed that the wine had not even been filled to the measured line on the glass. I didnât point this out when I noticed it because as that stage, I thought well I canât prove I didnât already drink some, so I just copped it sweet. If youâre going to charge $9 for a glass of wine, you better make sure you fill it to the line!! Anyway, on paying the bill, the manager apologised about the food Iâd sent back and said I was right to do so, as it wasnât acceptable. However I was starving and was not asked once if I wanted anything else to eat nor was I even given something complimentary like some bread?? Seriously, if you go out for lunch and the lunch needs to be sent back because itâs rubbish, have you suddenly ceased to exist or need food?? Needless to say, that was our first and last time at white salt. Thanks for taking the time to post your comments,As we stated at the time you are completely correct, it should not have gone out, hence there was no charge. Occasionally things can go wrong and once again we apologise that this happened on the occasion of your visit. Regards Tim and Claire Leech Proprietors

We went here for lunch on a public holiday weekend. Upon entry we were advised to grab some menus and help ourselves to a table. We sat down and began reading, when we mustâve all inadvertently tuned into a very loud conversation on the next table. A staff member was discussing vegan and vegetarian with 2 male customers. Thatâs all fine, but it was so loud it dominated the area. Our 2 teenagers even said âlike, really....We donât need to hear your opinions guys!âWe werenât sure if we had to order at the counter or if the staff would come to us. Surely the guy would finish his convo soon and acknowledge us. Nope. So we moved tables so we could have our own conversations, ordered at the counter, had our meals delivered, and could still hear the discussion over the music. It wasnât the topic, it was the volume and the fact that we as customers were literally ignored by this guy for near on 20mins, when we did have a couple of questions. If he was on a break or was the manager, sit down and have a proper conversation, donât stand there like youâre supposed to be working. The burgers were nice and the meal overall represented good value for money. Weâll visit grillâd again but hope the service is a little more friendly next time.

We were invited to our friends 80th Birthday last week. To our surprise there were 40 people all family and friends of our friends. The venue was great on the water, with marvellous views. There was a menu on each couple's plate, with a picture on the front of the couple whose birthday it was.Once all were seated we were presented with two bottles of wine, and two platters of antipasto on each table. ( you could order beers as well). So much food. We were asked to choose a main from a choice of three, fish, steak or pasta. All looked fabulous when they came out. The whole table was served together as were the rest of the tables What a feat, 40 people! The last course was birthday cakes. Well what a night. The ladies in the restaurant were wonderful - all smiles and nothing was too difficult. Thank you Mia Cucina for a lovely evening. We will be back..Howie WA Thankyou for taking the time to write an absolute cracker of a review for us. We love a degustation and this was right up there with the best! Itâs a very cute, romantic atmosphere. Itâs not big or noisy which we loved. Absolutely could have just stuck with the 6 course recommended but we decided to be pigs and eat the two extra dishes of scallops and mushrooms. Rookie error...food coma came quickly because the food is generous and just delicious. We actually couldnât fault anything and the service was excellent. We took our own special bottle of wine which was $20 corkage and a good deal if you ask me! Go there. You wonât be disappointed.
