The service at Sails was the best we have had at Noosa. Attentive and friendly, not hurried or in your face. The menu simple and wine list fantastic. The food was unfortunately a bit simple but fresh an tasty. Probably just right for the location. I was perhaps hopeful for something special given the reputation, location and quality of service, it was not bad just not amazing.I would return but with adjusted expectations on the food and would be very happy.

Great cuisine which deserves a better venue. Coffin Bay Oysters, freshly shucked, cab sav vineger, fresh lime, delicious. Artichoke soup, scallops, truffle. Yummy. Wagyu brisket, red curry, chilli jam, green tomato, coconut, herbs. To die for. My fav dessert was the Banana tart with rum caramel, bundy and raising ice cream. Basically a banana tatin. The kids loved the Passionfruit Roulade withTurkish delight ice cream and Persian fairy floss. A bit expensive for the type of venue but worth it. They should heat up the plates for the main courses. We were sitting outside and the food cooled down quickly.

Simple Pleasures - Welcome to Rock Salt Noosa, a modern Australian restaurant located in Quamby Place, Noosa Sound. Since opening our doors in 2005, Rock Salt has earned many praises from critics and has been charming diners with our bistro fare.
We recently re-visited Rock Salt during a holiday in Noosa. Unfortunately , this time the night was most disappointing. We started badly when the booking, which had been confirmed by the restaurant , couldn't be found. A table was re-set so all would have been well but that was just the beginning. In short, staff were stressed and inefficient, we waited ages for our ordered wine - or even a glass of water, and the main course took an hour to arrive after ordering. We were not approached or offered any explanation or apology , much less some bread, an olive, anything ! Dinner , when it finally arrived was average and the whole experience left us all saying "never again". Too disorganised, too noisy and too unprofessional. A pity !Hello W and P 2016I'm sorry you have had this experience. Unfortunately it sounds like you booked at another Rock Salt (there are several within Australia). This has happened before, and unless you specifically type Rock Salt Noosa, you may be directed to another website/phone number. I can assure you, if your booking was confirmed, you would have had a table. I commend our staff on doing their best to accomodate you, no doubt causing them the stress you mentioned - especially on a busy night at full capacity. On every occasion this has happened we do our best to fit people in as we understand it's an easy mistake to make.

Gusto is located opposite the Noosa River, providing stunning views right up to the river mouth. Both indoor & outdoor seating areas, every table enjoys the view.
We've been regular diners a Gusto for 13 years now. We dine often at local restaurants so can confidently say that they're in the top echelon of restaurants for quality and consistency. They have a policy of doing a few dishes really well rather than a lot of mediocre dishes. Combine that with relaxed, attentive service and you have a formula for long term success. To give you an idea, the restaurant next door has changed hands 4 or 5 times during the same period. You won't go wrong at Gusto!

Relying on high TA ratings we decided on dinner at WB. Welcomed by very knowledgeable and engaging host who assisted our selections of food and drinks. Good fare of generous portions of pate entree and our beef mains choices; overall reasonable prices and a pleasing experience.
