This is a very good restaurant without doubt. However the day we visited the service was quite ordinary indeed. Whoever was working the bar was very good (as I actually had to walk down to order more drinks), but our waitress was very tardy. Our steaks were ok, but not up to usual standard. Still would go back.

I booked months in advance and said we were a group of 12 and we were celebrating my mothers 80th birthday. We wanted to be seated to one side and on the terrace as we had heard about the fabulous views. Email communication (I live in France so email was best option) was slow but we finally got confirmation. When we got to Australia I rang to confirm my booking. When we arrived they had put us away from the terrace and on two tables. We were there to celebrate my Mothers birthday so we didn't want to sit at different tables. There was really no excuse to have us at two separate tables - I did make a little fuss and they put them together and we were all comfortable. It would have been nice if they had even said happy birthday to my Mum and given her a complimentary drink or made a little fuss...its not every day one turns 80. The food was very average for the price. The views are fabulous but I would perhaps only return and sit in the cafe next door for a coffee.Hi,Thank you for your feedback, I am very sorry you were disappointed with your experience her at The Edge. Unfortunately we can not move our tables together on our lower deck as some of the fixtures are fixed in place. So we tried to allocate you at the best spot we could which was just slightly up from our terrace but in my opinion still had the best views of the coast. Due to the wether we were having that week ( it was raining one moment and bright sun the next) I thought it would be best to put you on two tables rather then one long table as I didn't want your table to be effected by the wether. Naturally the wether turned out to be fine that day. I am sorry for this but I am glad my team managed to change your table around and get you guys comfortable.I hope you enjoyed your time here in Australia and I would hope you will give us a try one time in future.Regards Management

A trip in the area would not be complete without a visit to Flame Hill Wineries and Restaurant. Lovely location and a warm welcome. We only went for wine tasting as we were late in the afternoon. Friendly and helpful staff offer three wine tastings free and you can have six for a small amount of $6. Excellent wines at competitive prices. Highly recommend.

Celebrity Chef, Matt Golinski is providing the inspiration for the restaurant, bar and function mezzanine which is the centre point for the innovative building design. Our restaurant is now open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
WE had a birthday celebration here for breakfast.Everyone enjoyed the food and drink especially all the children, the view is good from the restaurant .Cant fault the service considering we were a large party.Only thing i would like to see and all restaurants should really be more aware that when you have children for a meal the staff should enquire if they should be served first it would save a lot of angst for them when they have been waiting for something to eat since they got up and its now 9.30 am.A small point but unfortunately all the kids ( 6 ) were served last and well after the adults so we were feeding them bits of ours to keep them going.Does not take away from the fact they handled us well and the food was great.Still not sure when you're into your 70s that being addressed as darling is appropriate but it was "nice"

Our accommodation package included a discount voucher for this establishment, so takeaway pizza in front of the cabin fire seemed a good idea. The pizza place offers a pleasant venue for dine-in including bar service, so we had a drink while we waited for our pizzas to cook.As a coeliac, I liked that the gluten free pizzas came to two sizes: somewhat unusual in my experience. We were a little taken aback by the free and easy access to the kitchen area by various people and wondered about possible hygiene issues.I ordered what they called a Supernova, which essentially was a highly spiced pizza and it certainly lived up to that. However, we judge a good pizza by the crispness of the cooked base: unfortunately ours turned out to be soggy. Quite disappointing.

something different and delicious, Vegetarian menu, global cuisine with local products.
We went there for Mother's Day and had an enjoyable meal. As the name Gypsy's Table suggests it had an interesting menu and well worth trying the different items. It is not a large restaurant so it is worth booking ahead. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming.

We had dinner on a Tuesday night and it was packed. A courtesy bus was provided from our accommodation which was appreciated. We both had the pork belly - beautifully cooked and both had the tasting plate for dessert. This was also a winner.

Have been here a few times now - our favourite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast for special occasions. Absolutely stunning food and impeccable service. Every plate of food is well thought out. Inventive ideas without taking away from the classic flavours. Can not fault this place. Worth every penny for the special outings.
