Our son, wife and grandson now live in Maryborough and so we are becoming very familiar with the town, cafes and restaurants.Storm in a Coffee Cup will now be a regular place to visit based on our first recent visit where we were welcomed warmly and enjoyed tasty coffees and muffins. We were the only customers at first but the cafe filled up quickly and has a really good atmosphere - we will be back to try the extensive menu.

Appealing cafe on main street with large barn like interior and rear access. Had lunch here on cold wet day and the special soup with bread followed by a cappuccino went down well. Busy but still quick service. Good value. Would return.

25 people attended in a private function area attached to the main building. Meals are ordered at the bistro and delivered to the table. The food quality was well presented and prepared by staff. Certainly would go back and run another function there. There is an electronic presentation screen so suits speakers wanting to show pictures as they talk. Staff were reasonable and work in some difficult service situations.

An old hotel that has been redeveloped into a cafe restaurant. Reasonable choice of menu which can be open steak sandwich through pasta and pizza. Soups in winter. All good value and bar is open.Food is well prepared and service is good with ordering at counter rather than at table. Service to table after order is usually reasonably quick although when very busy can be a little long. Noise is a problem if a lot of people. Outside seating is great on the many good weather days Maryborough has. There is an upstairs area for usually private functions. Open lunch and dinner with good value pricing. Popular at lunchtime and positioned off the main at opposite the court house and post office. Wheel chairs will have two steps to enter main area or ok outside tables as ground level location

Sorry Hunky Dory's port Melbourne this fish shop will give you a run for your money. Was absolutely delicious, the chips crunchy the flake was thick and so soft cooked perfect. The batter was the best I've had in a long time. Also got pumpkin cake and was the best I've ever had. The shop very clean and had table and chairs outside to eat there. Will be back definitely.

Just an overnight stay on our way north.Executive room with a very comfy queen bed, couch and desk area. Dinner in Peppaâs restaurant attached to the Motel was a big surprise, pleasantly so. Friendly staff, great local wines and a varied menu. We enjoyed the scotch fillet which was cooked to perfection, served with chips and salad and the plum glazed chicken breast served with vegetables and chips. The meal was just delicious and not something we expected from a country town motel. 5 Star all the way. Congratulations!!!!!Thank you so much for taking time to review our property and thank you for the lovely comments. We are always thrilled when guests are surprised by the standard of our "motel" restaurant and the wonderful meals Chef Matt creates. We hope you will join us again if ever you are down south.. Regards Carolyn

For a very reasonable price we ate like kings at this quaint mud brick restaurant on the banks of The Goldfields Reservoir in Maryborough. I had absolutely delicious barramundi , smashed potatoes and salad for only $17 and my daughter had chicken Caesar salad for $17.50. The service was delightful and there was a steady turnover of customers as the day progressed. Outside there is a shade cloth area with seating available. A few couples sat outside with their pets enjoying a coffee. A very pleasant breeze off the lake wafted through the windows. Unique venue.

We had been in Maryborough for two nights, unfortunately one was a Tuesday where very little was open. Thankfully we visited the Bull and Mouth on Wednesday night, great service and a great meal. Two of us had the salmon one the gnocchi and I had the Mongolian lamb, every plate was clean and everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. Itâs a step up from your usual pub meal and the cost is about what you would pay for an up market pub meal. Donât go past this place itâs well worth the visit.

Modern style dining in vintage industrial surrounds, located at Maryboroughs iconic Historical Railway Station, it is the perfect venue for casual or fine dining. Operating 6 days a week, with breakfast available daily until 11:30am, lunch until 2pm daily
While staying in Daylesford we decided to take a drive to the Railway Cafe & Track Bar in Maryborough. The station is amazing with fantastic architechture and the cafe is set amongst beautiful surroundings. The prices for lunch are really reasonable, the food very good and the service excellent. Also onsite in another area is a large retail and gift area. At the other end of the station is a museum. I highly reccommend a drive to visit, relax, eat and enjoy.
