Josef Chromy provides a truly unique location for you to experience superb Tasmanian wines and fine cuisine featuring fresh local produce. The function centre includes a stunning restaurant that overlooks the picturesque lake and vineyard. Perfect locatio
Made it a point to be a must to dine at Josef Chromy. But was it worth it? The answer is no.First, the restaurant is within the vineyard so itâs not a surprise that the view is amazing. Moving on to tasting before the restaurant â a very unfriendly approach to tell us that thereâs no free tasting you need to pay. Itâs the tone that you convey the message. We had to tell them alright we are dining here anyway so forget it.The pork belly wasnât amazing as described, fish â just typical and I realise almost anywhere overcooks it. Canât complain but I canât praise it either. Lamb is a nay, too gamey. It felt like some kind of university fast food place rather than a proper winery restaurant. The food were edible but it was not great and simply forgettable. I canât believe this place where Iâve looked upon so highly, turned out to serve some casual quick fast food rather than quality. At least they made it a point itâs somewhat edible.

Ingleside Bakery Cafe is a licensed cafe and bakery situated in a classically designed former Council Chamber built in 1867 in the beautiful Georgian village of Evandale. We produce our own cakes, pies, quiche and bread. The courtyard is a wonderful place
Our order consisted of three slices of different pie (lemon tart, lime cheesecake and baked cheesecake) and a cornish pastie. The pies were not fresh as the bases were soft and the fillings had no flavour. We only had a couple of bites before throwing out. Words fail me to describe the taste of the pastie. One bite by me and one by my son was enough, and again in the bin.

Visited here on a number of occasions. Food is quite good and very generous portions. Usually too much for us to eat. Friday night is our usual visit. Thursday has specials and you need to book ahead. Good peking and beverage pricing is typical of a pub.

Went here for early lunch with family. My husband ordered the breakfast with eggs and bacon, I had a chunky steak pie and the kids shared a ham and cheese croissant. We then had pink lamination custard tart and vanilla slice to take away. Canât fault any of the products. Has suitable name - rustic bakery with rustic style products. All products were fresh unlike some bakeries that expand their menu to much then end up with products sitting in the fridge for extended periods. Would recommend and will return.

Saltire Cafe was originally built in 1838 as the local Methodist Church. In 2008 the church was sold and life as a cafe started for this dear sweet chapel. Today a local icon, Saltire Cafe showcases locally grown produce in a simplistic art form, pleasing
An unexpected find! After camping in the bush in Cradle Mountain, cold, wet and weary, our drive to Hobart led us passed this jewel in the rough.A very unique cafe, church conversion, wonderful decor and a beautiful garden. Located in a small town opposite an IGA, this resembles more of an up market restaurant in Hobart than a cafe in a small town. Well worth a visit!

I had heard mixed reviews about this restaurant, most of which were positive. The food was average, my salmon was over-cooked, my husbands tandoori lamb was thrown together in a hurry and his medium-rare steak was medium. One positive was the lemon lime tart, I loved it, definitely the highlight. The restaurant itself is old and the toilets are in much need of the facelift. The restaurant was packed during our visit and you could not hear anyone speak other than the people beside you.Overall, I would not return.

Was not very keen on this bistro and the menu was nothing special. Ordered hamburger with chips.Order delivered to table was the size of a high tower with a long toothpick stab in the middle to stop it leaning over like the tower of Pisa. The meat patty was thick as a car tyre and very unappetizing.Upon picking up, my hamburger fell apart on my plate and had to eat the deconstructed hamburger with knife, fork and fingers. I could not swallow the entire hamburger and chips and was very disappointed that the price exceeded the expectation of the meal.I am certain that I will not be returning to this establishment again !!!!!!!!

Marjorieâs Woolmers Estate We have chosen to celebrate and honour Marjorie Archerâs vibrant contribution to Woolmers Estate by naming the restaurant after Marjorie. Marjorie is fondly remembered as possessing a lively and endearing personality, a wonderfu
Taken to Marjorieâs Woolmers Estate for lunch today and what a lovely surprise. Restaurant area was lovely, wait staff excellent, so friendly and relaxed, food was faultless, and had the loveliest lunch. On a freezing day but was warm inside, I was so pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend a visit here, lovely drive from Launceston for lunch, and well worth it. Thank you

Great cafe for locals. Lots of old style dishes including good size burgers with chips. A few salad options and desserts. The apple crumble is more of a pie, not crumble on top disappointingly. Very friendly service and in a great spot to sticky beak on the town.
