The 1st of June; what better day to have lunch in a cosy dining room near an nice open fire! We were walk-ins and able to score a great table in the dining room. This is a very nice and understated hotel. The food and beverage offering is excellent and pretty well priced. Service level is good and the place is very clean and well presented. As it was an early lunch we chose to graize with a couple of snacks and starters and all were very good. Our next visit will be better planned so we can enjoy the mains and linger longer. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.

My Flippin' Kitchen offers a warm, welcoming and friendly space to enjoy great food and great coffee in a cosy social environment. Open for breakfast and lunch, the menu is all about modern rustic homestyle cooking which is full of flavour and made from t
What a find!! Iâm besotted with the prawn linguini with pesto, chilli and peas - relish!! Love the chai latte - made with high quality chai tea and served hot, frothy and with a tea strainer. Great selection of house made cakes, pies and take home meals. The service is efficient, friendly and thoughtful. Itâs my go-to when i am in Kyneton around lunch time. Keep up the great quality and standards!!

What great food! Like many others, I'd eaten at Tansy's in the Eighties and was very interested to try her new restaurant in Kyneton. The food didn't disappoint at all. I'm really glad we decided to share a dessert as well - sublime! John's solo front of house and waiting was relaxed but professional. I'll definitely be returning.

Nestled in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges in the township of Kyneton you'll find Ruby Cafe. Serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. Fully Licensed with outdoor seating
Kyneton on a Monday morning doesn't appear to have a large range of breakfast options but we found Ruby Café open (but not serving). All very peculiar as kitchen staff was there as was service staff but (at 7.47) we were told that we couldn't order breakfast until 8.00. It was like waiting for the bank to open with a countdown until 8.00. We were served coffee in the meantime and given menus - very odd. Shame it all started so badly, as the coffee and breakfast were really enjoyable and well priced. Silly thing is they really didn't have to say anything as we would have been happy to sit with a coffee and menu - which is what we did in any case.

One stop shop if you only have a short visit in Kyneton lovated on historic Piper Street. Coffee stop warm inside on a cold winters day, blankets for warmth outside if you have a furry friend - great brunch selections with local produce. You want more - stock up the larder onlocal honey, beautiful pickles, sauces of all kinds a bit like The Essential Ingredient but countryfied items for pots , books, plates, all sorts of terrific treasures. Forgot your gumboots for that country walk you can purchace here and coats as well. What more do you want. One stop shop.

Thank god for Tripadviser. We arrived in Kyneton at 7.45pm. Expecting to have to eat a parmy at the pub! Excited to have Major Tom's on Tripadviser. Enjoyed great burgers in a restaurant that had a heart and soul, fantastic atmosphere. Dessert a little scorched but moist and delicious. Before our journey through the back roads dodging kangaroos

Sweet potato chips best Iâve tried. Was disappointed The Shamrock was closed AGAIN - second time in two weekend getaways - but glad coz we discovered The Albion. Wonât go anywhere else now.

Home Grown on Piper serves healthy, tasty food made with local, ethical produce. We use organic vegies from our mini-farm in Metcalfe, free-range local eggs and meat, and local bread. We use organic, fair-trade coffee from Just Planet. Our menu includes a
Home Grown on Piper in Kyneton has become famous for its delicious curries, salads, Aussie and Sri Lankan foods. We revisited it today, as we have done several times, and was not disappointed. Had a delicious chicken and vegetable curry, washed down with a great mango lassi. My partner had the same, plus a melt in your mouth warmed pear cake plus a latte. We are never disappointed in the food here.

Relaxed dining in Kynetons' heritage-listed Piper Street. The menu is based around seasonal, quality products sourced locally wherever possible. Little Swallows' innovative and enthusiastic chef regularly updates the specials board, and the menu is change
Heading to Bendigo for an exhibition at the art gallery and stopped her for breakfast on the way through. Everything from the service, people, coffee and food was superb. The fire was crackling, blankets outdoors for those needing to be out there. Bit cold for us at 2 degrees. When deciding where to stop on our return trip, decided Little Swallow needed an afternoon tea yes too. Again, all wonderful and so pleased we returned. Will be heading to Kyneton to visit the markets and hope to be able to visit this cafe. If you are looking for. A stop on a drive also, easy to get on and off highway, not far, and simple, Thanks Little Swallow team

Be warned, if you are going to indulge in the degustation menu at Source make sure you arrive hungry. In addition to the superbly crafted five course experience we received two small complimentary dishes - wonderful balance and innovation. A great wine list with some local flair but plenty of other options as well. Staff were accomplished and very friendly without being obtrusive. Summary - a great experience, Kyneton is very fortunate.
