Find out what Australian restaurants to try in Kingston. Kingston is the capital of Norfolk Island, located off the East coast of Australia. The small island was first settled by Polynesian explorers, later coming to the attention of Europe when it was discovered by Captain Cook. The island was used as a penal colony, and was infamous for its brutal treatment of prisoners. Times have changed, and the peaceful island is now popular with nature and sport enthusiasts interested in bushwalking, hiking through the rainforest, or diving in the reefs.

Different menu on website, at the door & at the order bar. Bit confusing. Awful county music singer where the music / warble was so loud conversation wasnât easy. Even though it was very busy, we left. Maybe better n a different day as the reviews are good. Hi Lyndaholgate,Thank you for your review, what a shame you didn't try our food!!!!Being the new Lessees, we appreciate all feedback. I am unaware of any menu being on any website, as neither Poppies Diner or The RSL Club have a website, and I do apologize for any confusion you may have found. The Menu on the front door is our a' l carte dinner menu, available Wednesday through to Saturday from 5.30pm, Sunday Night is Roast Dinner night only,Tuesday night we have a set menu special - 3 courses for $35.00, We always have a daily specials board and a blackboard lunch menuCountry music is always a big week at the RSL,where the club features visiting artists from Australia and New Zealand and provide a free venue for visitors to enjoy, and yes always a very busy time in the club,I am sorry you didn't like the Artist that was on at the time of your visit.Once again thank you for your reviewKind regardsLiz
We had lunch at island nectar a couple of time during our Norfolk Island getaway. The paninis we were served were a real taste sensation. One was pulled pork with pickled coleslaw and the other was a local smoked fish with boiled egg and salad. All of the ingredients were locally sourced and organic. Both were really tasty. We all so had fresh fruit smoothies which were healthy and great flavour. Well worth a try.
