My husband and I booked lunch here as a bit of a âdate dayâ, and were incredibly impressed! Firstly we lucked into snow in Olinda - which made the inviting flickering torches outside and warm open fire inside even more appreciated. From the moment we stroked inside, the service was faultless. Warm, friendly and professional at all times. And our meals - just divine! I opted for the parsnip soup for entree - beautiful and velvety and warming, perfect on a cold winters day! Mains we had the fish of the day (salmon) and the duck breast. Both cooked to perfection and oh so tasty! The menu is also heaven for a gluten intolerant diner like me. It was our first time...but we will be repeat customers for sure!

We are a family run cafe offering a wide variety of fresh, wholesome home cooked meals. We have a well stocked sandwich bar for you to create your sandwich masterpiece, and our coffee truly is the best in town.
The Brunch does a lot of really great stuff, especially with how the meals are prepared and people are served. There are also a lot of blue couches for community feeling and meeting. The Caesar salad has the right balance of crouton and bacon and dressing to lettuce and Parmesan cheese. I appreciated the green plate it was served on.There is a great variety of hot and cold drinks as well as all-day breakfast if you like that sort of thing.McBride is in the middle of a hill so there is good access to car parking and walking tracks. The Impossible Quiche has a great mixture and texture inside it.None of the 13-dollar meatball options were available when I came.

Coonara Springs is an iconic hills restaurant with a rich heritage and a modern approach. Our seasonally inspired menu is influenced by our own vegetable plots and our contemporary cuisine is created around respect for locally grown and sourced ingredient
We lunched there today - the first day of a new autumn/ winter menu. A great choice of dishes - presented particularly well for sharing - all excellently prepared and presented. The service was equal to anything weâd expect from a top restaurant. A good choice of wines.Outstanding views over the gardens and the Dandenongs from the dining room. This place combines a taste of the Dandenongs of old with excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.
Recently went and checked out the new owners version of The Paradise valley hotel. The hotel has been modernised a little but it feels cold and lacking personality. I ordered the scotch fillet steak that came with chips and a small portion of gravy as well as a lettuce salad.I opted not to order the side of Green Vegetables as the steak was already holding a price tag of $40 and $8 for veg.I was very suprised to see a thin steak and chips come out and really it was only about 1.5cm thick. The dessert was too expensive , sticky date pudding with vanilla icecream, it actually was yogurt, shy with the caramel sauce. The churros too sweet..disappointing.The menu is small and doesnt make sense....It's a pub guys, not a Michelin star restaurant...no kids menu or options.I hope it improves. Confusing...

Great menu, and the best hamburger I have had from a Fish & Chip shop (a meal in its self). The team are very friendly and customer service is brilliant, Easy parking opposite Puffing Billy park.

Great dinner with friends here tonight. Luckily we'd booked ahead as no spare tables upon our arrival. All our meals were high quality - I had Tasmanian salmon, two had duck confit, one the Roo, and one a vegetarian option. Extensive drinks menu. None of us had room for dessert as the serves had been generous. We finished with teas and coffees. Fantastic wait staff - who seemed content in their work and were both efficient and personable. Street parking and also parking at the rear of the restaurant. Toilets clean too. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Great for couples, groups & families.

Had brunch. The cafe is warm and inviting and the staff were lovely (& patient). Indoor/outdoor seating. The food was delicious and large portions. The soup was Devine! Car parking out the front and across the road. I love the local produce they use and sustainability initiatives. Great work. Will be back- thank you

I wasn't sure from the outside - but quality food, & service with a smile here. We arrived as a group late afternoon and were delighted to find all day breakfast options available. Having flown to Melbourne from various corners of the Country earlier inn the day - we arrived famished & left satisfied! I thoroughly enjoyed my poached eggs, avocado, fetta & pistachio dukkah. Brilliant food prepared with pride but not pretention. Coffee good too.
