Global Village is a pleasant place to stop for lunch on Coonamble's very quiet main street but there's nothing in the food to separate it from typical country cafes, despite prices that seem high even by country standards. The burger was the usual milk bar type with dry and tasteless meat and a bunch of stuff thrown in the bun, but with a higher price than a milk bar. There were a lot of pies and similar stuff in the window that looked like they might be a better choice but they were something like $15 for a small slice with a side salad. The coffee was pretty good, just a bit grainy. Service is unclear - the staff just disappeared after I ordered, so I sat down (paid after eating) and then waited ages for the coffee as it sat on the counter while the staff chatted with locals.

Travelling all day decided to stay in this town. We visited the bowling club and ordered our tea from the specials board we had the roast and snitzel. The meals were very generous and tasted great by roast pork very tender and heaps of veggies. Highly recommended.

We decided to have breakfast at The Hub as it was close to our motel.Located in an old service station building The Hub has a fantastic collection of gift items as well as a fabulous cafe.My husband decided to have an egg and bacon roll while I had the corn fritters with bacon and a poached egg. We also had coffee which was brilliant. My husband enjoyed his bacon and egg roll and then helped me eat the corn fritters which was a big meal and very tasty.
Pretty empty the night we went, menu not interesting. Staff almost surprised to see us! Locals seem to prefer the Bowling Club, as we did.
