âYou donât see many restaurants like this anymoreâ Nicholas Jordan, Broadsheet Manlyâs newest seafood restaurant, is located just off the beach in a landmark site that locals have long admired. The Herring Room is family owned & run by veterans of the ind
Having visited The Sardine Room in Potts Point five years ago, I was sad it has closed; however, the owners decided to move the business to Manly and open up the Herring Room. I remained on their mailing list all this time so I knew they had moved.Five years later, I returned to Sydney and the first place I had to visit was the Herring Room. So, after five years the lovely owners Ange and Rodney recognised me and that made my evening. Not only that, I asked about a particular dessert Iâd had at The Sardine Room (a Greek semolina pudding) which wasnât on the menu at the Herring Room. Low and behold, Rodney only went home to get me some so I could have it again. Now thatâs service for you. Sometimes you come across a special place and special people like Ange and Rodney. The Sardine Room lives on in the Herring Room, because the owners have kept the reputation and quality of the service and food to a very high standard and people keep coming back.Itâs worth the ferry ride across from the CBD just to visit The Herring Room and be greeted by the excellent staff and lovely owners.

The food was good, portion was big and two for one deal from Monday till Wednesday. However, to qualify for this deal, we have to pay full price for our meal from Thursday till Saturday.
Every thing I've eaten here is delicious - whether it's eggs, muffins, savoury, sweet, smoothies, coffee whatever. The eggs in pockets are just out of this world. As are the decadent smoothies with cool names. Slight Southern American/Mexican twist to the menu but there's something for everyone. The owner is there whipping up the goods before your eyes and he'll have a chat and loves your feedback. I think other members of the family work here too. All staff are friendly and efficient. It's got a great vibe, cute décor and well worth every cent in my opinion!

We went for a catch up with family for lunch. The food selection was good. There wasnt a great selection of wine and pricing probably average for the area.. we all oredered different foods. I had the gnocchi, which was yummy. My husband had the lamb but was overdone and the veggies not cooked enough. The salad looked nice and the calamari was ok. Great location and service.

Welcome to Wildwater Grill, an award-winning restaurant overlooking the ocean at Dee Why Beach. Weâre passionate about creating flavoursome meals with the freshest ingredients, and believe food tastes best with a side of sea breeze. Enjoy sizzling Mozambi
Went here with friends and family for my birthday. The food is amazing. I had the halfâs rack of ribs, which was a mammoth portion and they were cooked to perfection! The meat just fell off the bone and was juicy and tender. I highly recommend them! My OH had a steak which he said was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Everyone that went enjoyed their food and said how good it was! Price wise it is expensive, hence why we went on a special occasion, but you get what you pay for and was worth the money! The service was a little slow and there was a little language barrier between us and the waitress as She bought the wrong drinks, but other than that it was a great night, with great atmosphere, wonderful views of Dee Why beach and sea and amazing food... what more could you ask for!

The Brooky Pie is no ordinary pie shop, we have been baking and selling pies on the Northern Beaches of Sydney for over 25 years. Our famous pies are an experience in themselves, fresh, flaky pastry, all hand made from scratch. The Brooky Pie is a family
This is a family owned business and they take pride in making delicious pies. The pie shop is light and airy. If you are in a rush take away can be an option or sit down and have it with their coffee. I heard about their awards and decided that I needed to try it for myself and I was not disappointed.

A great lunch deal with two courses and a glass of wine included if you book. Good choices, lovely view of the lake and very good service although it did take a while to take our order. If you sit close to the window, it may be warm. They do have shade blinds. We wished we sat inside because we were close to another couple. She had a very loud voice and did not make any positive conversation. A bit draining.Wish we had asked to move inside where there was airconditioning and only a few people. Beyond the control of the restaurant but the tables are quite close! We will still be back. That berry panacotta dessert was so good!

We came here a few years ago and loved it. However this time around we were underwhelmed. We arrived just before the lunch rush and the restaurant was empty. We didnât have a reservation and the wait staff hesitated before giving us a seat. We sat inside and it was a bit noisy as we were close to the kitchen and the kitchen equipment is quite loud. The prices around the $30 mark for mains. We decided to get a selection of entrees and have a tapas style meal. We ordered the chicken wings, the salmon plate, and the oven roasted Camembert. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the salmon plate and the camembert, but when the chicken wings came out they were four scrawny little wings. To the restaurant âs credit they brought out two extra wing unprompted and explained the size of the wings was much smaller than usual. When we tucked in to the Camembert we noticed that it was still solid in the centre and it didnât look like it had been cooked at all. We told the waiter that we thought theyâd forgotten to put it in the oven and he took it away to be cooked again. When he brought it into the kitchen he too realised that it was not cooked at all. He then came back to us and apologised for the mistake and gave us a free serving of haloumi on the house. We really liked the Camembert and the haloumi. Our friends had the barramundi with chorizo and they were very happy with their dish. At the end of the meal we they felt that they were trying to get us to evacuate the table pretty quickly. The service was efficient but we felt like they were trying to get rid of us at the end. Overall we thought the restaurant was okay and we appreciated that they gave us some freebies to make up for their mistakes. However we probably wonât come back here in a rush.We truly appreciate the time that you took to write this review...I am delighted that our management team dealt with the issues at hand efficiently and that you enjoyed your overall experience. We are dissapointed to hear about the Camembert dish at the end and we have addressed this with the kitchen. With regards to our chicken wings, the portion sizes are standard chicken wings and as you know chicken sizes can vary, but we are always happy to add more (normally there is between 5-6 wings per portion). I did chat to our team who was on duty on Sunday and they guaranteed me that they did not rush you as we had no follow up tables after yours, we apologise if you have felt that way as I know it is not in our nature to rush a table, in fact we want our guests to enjoy their full 2 hour sitting. We hope to see you back at Barbuto for better experience.
Best Cafe food near Collaroy Beach, Warringah, New South Wales

A modest exterior, nothing pretentious about this Cafe whatsoever, but boy the food tastes good! Absolutely first class service, quick, efficient, smiling and the owner (with skin in the game) is there every single service, checking, serving, advising, explaining and SMILING at customers. It's a surprise that this food is SO good from the humble tables, chairs and decoration of this establishment right across the road from the beach, but you simply can't go wrong with anything you choose. Plates are FULL and you will be too - don't fill up too much on starters if you intend to have a dessert, the mains will be more than adequate for any hungry tum. The menu doesn't appear to change very much and the specials, well, I don't know how much they change either, I'll ask next time, but be assured you will leave feeling glad you visited, whether in a group, alone or even by yourself. Courteous service and flavoursome and interesting food are always top of the menu!
