Great ambience, excellent customer service but food needs improvement. A good idea of the Gin cocktails and promoting it. Prompt and courteous service but thought food quality has room for improvement. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We very much welcome feedback of both nature, so I would love to hear a little more on your experience with us. If you could reach out to me at [email protected] so I can gain some insight and be able to rectify any shortfalls that occurred, I would be extremely grateful. I am happy you felt looked after by the team and enjoyed our killer cocktails. I look forward to hearing from you. Warmest regards, Matty

Want a generous serving of the best home-cooked tasting food this side of a Greek grandma's kitchen, all well-presented in a friendly, comfortable setting? We have been frequenting Xenos for 17 years and have never been disappointed. A wide choice of meals to suit all tastes and the consistently high quality is amazing. My husband's favourites are the seafood spaghetti (generous serve but too good to stop eating) and delicious schnitzel while I enjoy the chicken salads - caesar and quinoa are equally good. They do a good barramundi, too. The cakes and desserts are, quite simply, mouthwatering. Xenos always delivers and Dennis and co deserve their longstanding success. At 50 years, this place deserves heritage recognition.

Sails on Lavender Bay is perched on the shore of Sydneyâs magnificent harbour with post card views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It is the perfect venue for those wanting to experience the quintessential beauty of the city. Sails on Lavend
I cannot fault the quality of this restaurantâs seafood. The gin cured kingfish with fresh crab was delicious as was the Pink Snapper and the Trevalla. My husband also enjoyed his seared scallops immensely. The staff were fabulous. Very professional without being intrusive. Harbour views are always a bonus. The only issue is parking which is difficult as there really is only street parking. I would recommend catching the ferry or an Uber / taxi. There is however a single disabled parking spot across the road. Very happy to recommend and to return.

Our focus is on serving the freshest fish available at a reasonable price for the ultimate seafood dining experience. Free parking (2 hrs Mon - Sat and all day Sun) is available in the council car park 50 metres from our Crows Nest restaurant.
We had a lite lunch here earlier in the week. Service was good, Mr P had the salt and pepper squid entree which had a side of which I think was harissa. I had the scallops (3) which were cooked well and on a sweetcorn purée, itâs was ok. They had lots of meat dishes to choose from if you didnât want seafood. Overall it was good with a reasonable wine list.

A night out in Sydney to a recommended place. Absolutely well worth the visit. The food was great and the service too. I'm not a great steak eater as it often disappoints, but very happy to report that the medium rare that the chef produced was superb... seems it is cooked on a wood grill... great. Coul;dn't fault all the fare.Thank you for taking the time to review us Trevor. We are delighted to hear that your enjoyed your dinner with us - especially since you were recommended to come here. I am really happy to see that your expectations were met, perhaps even exceeded. We are known for our amazing steaks, so i am pleased we got this right for you. Next time you are in Sydney, hopefully you will come back to see us again. Until then, maybe you could also recommend us to others? We are a small business to we always appreciate the word of mouth advertising! thanks. :) Warm Regards, Jenni

We had our typically weekly visit to The Wooden Whisk today (20/March) and we quickly noticed something was very different. Apart from one recognised and brilliant waitress that again took our order today, there was not the regular smiling faces we have been so fond of for the past 3 years. We have enjoyed having our babies in prams assisted with carrying down (and back up) the stairs, informally and kindly reserving for us half of the communal table with a quick Saturday morning phone call for our team of toddler triplets, and the ultra consistent great coffee, fresh meals and the best service bar none in the area and beyond. On asking the waitress today that we have known from there for many months if there had been a change in ownership, she confirmed today was the first day under new owners. The kitchen staff remained, the one waitress remained too, everyone else was new to the Wooden Whisk. This post is just to say thank you to the previous owners and team over the past 3+ years. You did an incredible job and made a sit down at your cafe, far more than just a meal and/or coffee. Our children learned to eat at a restaurant (not always appropriately) at your great venue. I am glad I got to say to the barista (presumed part owner), whilst unbeknownst to me that it would be the last time, that she had just served me the best coffee, I had ever hadâ¦and I have 3 coffees a day for at least the past decade! Whilst obviously sad to see you go, you have absolutely nailed it with the timing I would suggest (the downturn is indeed coming and it's likely to be sharp) and we hope your next chapter is an exciting and great one. You all deserve it. To the new owners and team, the cafe atmosphere has changed for us literally overnight so we are unlikely to be back, however, you have retained high quality kitchen staff and a waitress that is as good as the WW had in all the time we visitedâ¦and they had many great ones. We wish you the best of luck and hope it goes well for you all. Cheers,Scott Crank

Monte Alto is a Modern Restaurant & Bar, located in Crows Nest, in Sydneyâs Lower North Shore. Serving creative Modern Australian cuisine, with high quality produce, providing premium coffee, a wide range of cocktails and a selective collection of Whisky
The food was average. For Entre we had the crostini and meatballs. Main we shared the coffee rubbed pork and garden salad. Desert, we shared the brownie and panna cota. If it wasn't half price i would have rated tonight's experience less than average. Everything was served so fast there is no way it was made to order...None of the dishes were memorable. Deserts were way below par... Could have been a really cute venue. If only the food lived up to its standards.
