We had heard good things about 5 Thai and finally went with friends. The place was really busy as we expected. We tried and shared a number of things on the menu and all were fine, but nothing was at all memorable. I rated it average because we couldnât remember what we ate afterward except for some potstickers. Nothing seemed unusually good. The restaurantâs ambiance also was average in our estimation. We wouldnât go out of oirvwa6 yo return.

We weren't sure what to expect of a noodle place in a small town, but we were pleasantly surprised! It's a small place with a few tables around a bar, but nicely decorated and nicely served. The ramen was interesting and original, definitely an original take, not your typical tonkotsu. It can be difficult to find parking, but here is a big private lot nearby.

Iâm a Brit abroad on business. Iâve spent a week in Gaithersburg and had a meal out each night and they were all good. I went to the Green Elephant and I thought the food was exceptional, best Iâve had in the US so far. Ambience was great too. Why the 4 ratings then? Well the food deserves some equally great wines and they struggled with their white wines, they really did their best and were super helpful but Iâve never tasted such a sweet Pinot Grigio, in fact I didnât know they existed, or what was sold as a dry Riesling. Maybe Itâs local tastes, I had a Riesling in Surf too and that wasnât dry and thatâs a missed opportunity in a fish restaurant. Still all round a fabulous restaurant and shouldnât be missed if you are in Portsmouth NH. Thank you so much for visiting! Our wines rotate so maybe weâll have something more to your liking on your next visit. Thank you for your positive review and feedback.Cheers!Pete Whitehead
York Harbor Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in York Harbor
We had a stop over in York on our way back to NJ , and I think we made a great decision to go to greenleaves. Lots of options for a drink and almost similar options for food. Surprisingly the veggie dishes were good too , which is hard to find in many other restaurants. General tsos tofu was good, so was veggie friend rice .. no smell of fish oil in veggies which is good for vegans. My friends had chicken and it tasted great too , with the spicy sauce . Overall we liked it .

After a long day of riding our bike, a group of us decided to try this restaurant. We went early as we were hungry! Food was well presented and delicious. Very friendly staff. We did the dinner special, lots of variety for a very reasonable price.

This Chinese restaurant is linked to a hotel so my expectations were low, especially since we were in York where ethnic restaurants are few and far between. But, we were very pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent. We started with wonton soup which is one of my go-to tests for a Chinese place and the wontons and broth were super. Next I ordered the Pu Pu platter for one and I could tell that all the items had been freshly cooked. My husband ordered the chicken and cashews and he said it was the best he had ever eaten. The service is excellent: available but not hovering. And they left adequate time between the soup and main course. Obviously this food is geared towards Americans and surely not what the staff eats, but it is excellent. This was our second visit and we will definitely go back on our next trip to York.

Local recommendation was correct! We were thinking take out but stayed as everything on the huge menu took time to consider. After much deliberation, we each had a different dish and each one was excellent. Egg rolls were stuffed, and very tasty! Important to us, not greasy!Mains were all hot, large portions and very fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. Tea is served as it should be in a pot with enough to share! Rice was delicious but does not come with...it is a side to be ordered. Two bowls for three meals with enough for leftovers. They do serve alcohol. There is an upstairs and main floor. Staff was attentive and food came promptly as prepared. They have a vegan section of the menu. Glad we went!

Open year round, serving american fare with cultural influences. Featuring an open kitchen with a wood fired grill. Lively, fun bar and casual atmosphere.
My wife, two young kids and I eat out often and it seems like at least 75% of restaurants in business are downright awful. That is why we appreciate the Central so much. It is one of the very few restaurants we have come across that is consistently great. The food and service at The Central are always top notch and we know that we will have an excellent meal every time we come here. The only drawback, and it is a tolerable one because the food and service are so good, is that it is a small restaurant and the seating can be tight and the noise a little loud. They do so much business and we hope that plans for expansion are in their future; either here or at a different, larger location. If this place were just a little bigger with more room between customers it would be perfect. As it is it's better than about 98% of other restaurants so we will keep coming back. Our compliments to the chefs and staff. Your team is head and shoulders above most restaurants.
